Agree with previous review about lack of sun outside of summer. We had poor weather so our experience was worse though. Condensation was a huge problem due to lack of ventilation. Being woken up on a lumpy mattress by water dripping on you from the skylight above is not a good experience! There was no ventilation or extractor fan in... More

We stayed in the larger of the two properties. As other reviewers have noted, the architecture is stunning, the garden beautiful and the setting fantastic. The owners and their staff were all friendly and helpful. But, and it's a big but, El Cactus faces north, and only has windows north facing. The property and the terrace therefore got no sun... Admittedly I am an architect so I am biased. But I love Lanzarote for its beautiful landscapes, grand vineyards charming finca-selection.de all with a Marique inspired twist. This property has all of this in one place. We cycled around the North of the island. Walked direct from the house to Haria and surfed in Famara. The apartment was well furnished... More

We are a family of four (with a toddler and baby) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the La Cueva guesthouse in Finca Taro de Chimida. Our host (Neil) was incredibly helpful and provided tips regarding car hire / places to visit etc and also very kindly collected us from the village when we initially got a little lost trying... We stayed with my parents taking both apartments. We had a fantastic holiday the apartments are beautiful. Teguise is a fantastic place. The restaurants and the Sunday market. Only a very short drive to Famara and the surf beach which we loved. The whole island is fantastic but I loved being based in Teguise as it is the nicest town... More

This is a wonderful place for a couple to get way for a few days in the cooler temperatures of the hills but with ready access to Teguise, the north, east and west of Lanzarote. The accommodation is spacious and private. The apartment is well maintained and gave us all that we needed. The owners are both very friendly and... More

A lovely private well equipped finca in the beautiful town of teguise! Away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded tourist areas but only a short drive away from the surf beach of famara and within easy reach of tourist areas if that's what you like. A short stroll into the town with a fantastic market on Sundays. The... More

Highly recommended! Fantastic views across the island. Incredible Manrique influences everywhere. the apartments are very unusual. We stayed in La Cueva which means the cave. Above the kitchen units there is a huge piece of Lava Stone with a garden recessed into it so that you look over this garden when you do the washing up! Famara is close and... More

The Taro de Chimida finca must be the most impressive house on the Island. We stayed in April. The weather was perfect. Teguise is in the mountains at the edge of the Famara Riscos. From the Property we walked along the edge of the Riscos with stunning views over Caleta De Famara and Soo that I will never forget. The... More

We stayed at Taro de Chimida in August. The whole place is beautiful. When you drive in through the gates you are greeted by a wonderful Manrique wind mobile. Elegant Canarian design influenced by Cesar Manrique. Heated pool, wonderful works of art and decor and a fantastic location near to Famara for Surfing, Haria for walking, For biking it is... More
