We have just got back from a one week stay in villa number 40 and had a fantastic time in Lanzarote. The villa surpassed our expectations, was very clean, private and well stocked in terms of kitchen utensils etc. WiFi was great as was the BBQ! Location was fab for us, super close to playa Blanca and rubicon harbour with a supermarket over the road alongside regular taxi’s stopping in the taxi tank. View from the villas of the volcanoes is lovely. I would highly recommend this place and Lanzarote in general.

Stopped in 37. Very clean and excellent facilities. We could not use pool as too cold, but in April not expecting that. Local supermarket is well stocked and only a minutes walk away. Found prices competitive. El Pueblo also has bars and restaurants, The Rubicon is approximately 25 minutes stroll away along the front. Taxi rank is very close and cost is 4 euro to Playa Blanca centre. As a couple this location suited us down to the ground, sit and sunbathe by pool, reading have a drink (bought from supermarket). Nice walks and you can hear a pin drop. Found variety of food good and Papagayo Commercial very good choice of restaurants and bars. Nice sitting by beach having a drink and food. a good base if you want to use a car.

It’s only day three of our stay and so far we’re happy with the villa. It’s on the southern side of the complex (closer to the sea). These Villas 32 -36 are set higher than the others so have great views inland across the town towards the mountains. Down side is there are two flights of reasonably steep steps to climb to get access. Not a problem for us but may be for less able. Villa is well equipped. Microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, brick built BBQ, oven, iron etc. plus everything you could need. No English Tv channels. Radio and DVD player provided. Private pool which is not heated. Just about warm enough in March for a quick bracing swim! Modern style and comfortable. Plenty of room for four. Complex is set away from the main evening bar/restaurant area ( Rubicon harbor ) which means a walk along the costal path in the evening if you want a night out. The pathway offers some great views and is a relatively easy walk. A gentle 20 minute stroll involving a few uphill bits but nothing too taxing. Closer to the villa complex there is a well equipped supermarket and shopping area. There are a few bars/ cafes that seem to do ok during the day but was very quiet at night. Only one or two restaurants here so limited options. It’s a nice area but a lot of the business ‘units’ are empty. It seems that the success of Rubicon Harbor is preventing customers eating here which is a shame as it well laud out and generally very tidy. The villa complex is very close to the nature reserve which has some fantastic beaches. These are a 15 minute walk away across the headland. A bit of a challenging walk on rocky/gravel paths but well worth it for the wonderful beaches.

Travelled with my elderley parents (74 an 75) Arrived at about 1pm. Cleaners were just finishing cleaning the villa but was not a problem. Villa not really suitable for anyone with walking issues as there are 2 lots of stairs to climb just to get in.Luckily the disability scooter we had delivered was kept at a lovely hotel down past the shops or Mum wouldn't have been able to leave the villa at all. The villa itself had everything we needed to be honest and was lovely and clean. Extra pillows on beds instead of the one on each bed would be a great idea. Towels and bed linen were clean and fresh. Pool was cold at first...but was really nice once you were in. Views lovely. Hotel over the road was "rocking"...but was funny listening to some of the antics but peaceful at night. Great walk from the villa on the pathway to Marina Rubicon....especially in the cool of the evening ( a killer walk in the mid-day sun...phew). Also a lovely walk to the beach but it's a dusty path (so no flip flops!)...but the views were amazing! Took about 45 minutes there and the same back. Beach is gorgeous though. Great supermarket and a few shops and places to eat literally 2 minutes over the road. Taxi to Marina Rubicon about 4 euros. Wifi was ok but kept having to log in then on the Monday before we left on the Wednesday I couldn't get wifi at all. Don't expect 5 star fom this villa or Los Colorados...but it definately suited what Mum, Dad and I wanted (except for the disablity access for Mum). We loved it.

Firstly ignore my photos, they make the villa look nice. So me and my boyfriend booked this villa at a good price with Thomas Cook for 2 weeks and unfortunately it wasn't great. Let's start with the cons; unclean (cleaned fully on first night of arrival at 9pm), lack of towels, broken dishwasher, broken oven (highly dangerous), broken sink tap, broken bathroom tap, broken pool shower, poor internet connection, small double bed sheet, no where to take bins out & finally NO RECEPTION AREA! Log book found in the villa with emergency contact number available 24 hours every day, called 3 times before having our call returned the next day at 1pm. Small piece of paper with the wifi password had 'disappeared' so didn't have the free wifi for two days. Wasted the first week trying to find the reception area which we were not told about and calling several numbers to fix problems in the villa. After finally figuring out are reception is in a hotel 5 minutes away, we spoke to our Rep about the villa and booking excursions for the next week. Are Rep was completely unorganised and unenthusiastic to say the least. Me and my partner didn't complain about the villa because that's not who we are, we made it our own. However we will not be revisiting this villa again! Pros; clean swimming pool, decent size villa, tele, washing machine, iron & ironing board, views & location. It's believed that the villa itself is not worth the amount we paid but where it is located is the reason it's probably worth it. 20 minute walk to restaurants and a couple of shops. I hope this review stops the many people who think they might be going to a relaxing luxury villa like we thought we were!

Firstly please note that this accommodation is listed in multiple locations on Trip Advisor. It is beyond me why it is in this particular category as 'specialty lodging/ranch'. There is nothing special or ranch like about this multi unit condominium. The location is ok for touring by car but I am a fit member of Ramblers and do not feel that this is by any means an easy walk to Papagayo beach as others may claim. We did enjoy walking to Marina Rubicon for evening drinks though. If you stay here, you really need a car. It is indeed VERY sparse: NO SMOKE ALARM!; only 1 (very skinny) pillow per bed; only 2 (in total) very worn bath towels; no egg turner; no salt or pepper (a cruet set would have been nice too); no oven baking dishes at all; no oven gloves; only 2 wine glasses; no steak knives; no toaster; the electric kettle had a large leak in the side; the stove top kettle was very rusty. In summary, the lack of kitchen items made it challenging to prepare a decent meal. Until now, I have never stayed in a place that was missing a bedside table. Nor was there a chest of drawers! There was nowhere to set your phone, glass of water, tea cup, book, etc. At night when I went to bed, I had to put my water, book, and phone on the floor next to the bed. This was a real nuisance in the morning when you are walking in and out of the bedroom and have to pick up and put things on the floor while you are getting ready to go out. There is no a/c so this would be a very hot place to stay in the summer. (no heat either if it's cold) It would not be safe or advisable to leave the windows open for fresh air; there are no fans inside either. During the day it is very noisy due to the megaphone from the playground across the street. The soundproofing is poor; in the evening, you can hear what is going on in the next villa/condominium. We were here for a week and no one came to visit or clean. It was warm so the trash got a bit smelly. The positives - there was ample parking when we were there. The place was clean and was spacious enough for us. The wifi worked well. The view from the balcony was good.

Just returned from a lovely relaxing week in Lanzarote, the villa was great and had everything we needed, very peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of Playa Blanca, great facilities, pool lovely but chilly but did manage a couple of swims!!! also great if you like walking along beautiful coastline to bars and restaurants that, there are some 5 mins away, Marina Rubicon is fab and only 20mins away and the rest of Playa Blanca is another 20mins from there. Loved it.

We booked this apartment for a week's getaway from the English weather in January. I have a feeling that, had we gone in summer we might have had a different experience, but the weather we experienced in Playa Blanca had, although warmer than England, a lot of high winds and some rain. The apartment is extremely basic, but having said that, maybe for a family of four (there are two bedrooms) it would be ideal. It is situated a long way out of Playa Blanca itself and therefore we had to either take the bus or a taxi to get in to the main resort. It would be pretty impossible to walk there. The apartment is on the first floor, so two lots of steps to negotiate if you have a mobility problem. The bus is every half hour and costs 1.40 euros each person wherever you are going! A taxi is around 4 euros (a little more on Sunday). Conveniently there is a taxi rank just across the road from the apartment, and the bus is about ten minutes walk away. There is also a supermarket within three or four minutes' walk, so it is easy to get supplies. That is in a little complex opposite the apartment, which also has a hairdresser, some souvenir shops, tapas bars etc. (called El Pueblo if you need to tell the taxi back home where to go!) We found the apartment quite chilly, although there is one electric radiator provided that you can move around (we did need it at night). All the very basic equipment is provided (washing machine, dish washer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and microwave) but absolutely nothing in the way of washing up liquid or machine tablets, no salt and pepper, sugar, loo rolls etc. I guess this is to discourage ants and so on, but it made it all a bit bleak. A maid arrived halfway through the week, but just to change the towels and bed linen. I was really annoyed that she also took with her the remainder of our one and only loo roll (we had planned to get more the following day, but had to make an emergency trip to the supermarket!) The pool was lovely, but far too cold for us to even attempt to enter! I do think that in the summer months this apartment would be ideal, as it was always cold (so welcomingly cool in the heat). Maybe it was unfortunate that we had chosen to visit in winter. The outlook is of seemingly endless acreage of the low-rise, white buildings that you find in Lanzarote. I would recommend this apartment to a young family with children as it has everything they could need for a good holiday; just that a visit in winter was, ultimately, bleak.

Stayed here for a week over Christmas 2015. Villa was very clean and comfortable. Well fitted with everything we needed. Unbelievable value for money. It is just outside Playa Blanca town, but we always have a hire car so no ta problem, it was a very relaxing, comfortable holiday

Having stayed at Las Marinas Villas several times in recent years I am surprised by some of the negative reviews here. The villa complex itself is off the road so no passing traffic noise (parking spaces are on the perimeter) - the internal pathways have high ochre coloured walls giving a good degree of privacy - although unsurprisingly this is not total. The villas are of a good size and all have unusually large gardens - with a wrap around patio enabling getting into the sun or shade at any time of day. The pools are not heated and pretty challenging in winter but they are decent size and depth and well cared for. I understand that British TV is not generally available in Lanzarote - the selection here is the same that we had in other villas - wifi is ok but can be a bit flaky. Los Colorados is one of the best places to stay in Playa Blanca - it is at the eastern end of the coastal pathway and feels like it is away from the bustle - the Marina Rubicon is a good but easy walk all the way along the magnificent coastline - plenty of restaurants there and a similar distance on into town - taxis are cheap and plentiful - there is a rank opposite the villa complex- we have had no problem managing without a hire car especially since the best supermarket in Playa Blanca (Ropers) is just over the road. In the opposite direction it is only a short walk across a nature reserve to the spectacular, unspoiled Papagayo beaches. What's not to love?
