We arrived today around 12 noon. Checked in and paid for a room for 3 people with hot tub and BBQ which was booked via booking. Com. On check in all seemed well we were told our room wasn’t ready but we will receive a phone call to let us know when it is. Approximately 230pm we received that phone call and made our way to reception to collect room key. Allocated room 40 which is not what we paid for. Went back to reception and were told the room we had paid for was not available (no explanation could be given) so we are in a 2 bedroom standard room. Although reception have offered us a full nights refund until the room becomes available tomorrow (they can’t tell us what time) our holiday has been ruined by having to change rooms and a day wasted until we can get in to the room. On another note the room we have been allocated is very tired and could do with a make over. I will update this review tomorrow to see if any progress has been made.

Property's Favorite Review
Fantastic apartments , and very clean and everything we expected. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which being a family is excellent! Furthermore, additionally on arrival to the apartments, at reception, they didn’t make us aware that the buffet wasn’t open at lunchtime due to covid19, however it was the pool bar menu. Which on our first day, we went for lunch thinking it was, buffet as it had previously, but instead it was the pool bar menu. Which we thought was adequate and good choice. But then during the week the buffet opened. Correspondingly, food in the evening was okay, their was plenty to choose from, but for the alla-cart their was a limited of 2 choices which on some occasions, was really nice, but then on others we found it wasn’t very nice. The food in the evening, I would rate 4.5-5 which given the pandemic i think is fair. Their needs to be more choices or the all’s-cart instead of 2 as previously when stayed their was 3. And also, need to ensure that their are allergen free choices because you have to take into account of that. But all in all it was a fabulous relaxing holiday!

Booked this place through jet2,Reading there reviews on it sounded like a perfect place to celebrate my granddaughters 21st. 9 people in all, 12k spent.matbe a nice place 30 years ago.tired place needs a total refurb.all inclusive is a joke, cheap cordials poor beer, if you can ever get served at the bar, 20 minutes is longest so far, food is limited to say the least, served in what I call the canteen.2 star at best,jet2 hold your heads in shame and get this place out of your holiday list. Only 4 days to go, thank goodness.

This is only the second time in 30 years I’ve given a bad review. But this is just so far from what Jet2 say it is. No reception open when we checked in (they found a waitress to take us to our room). The room was probably lovely in 1970 but it’s run down, very tired (barely breathing) and the bathroom is predominantly rust !! We did get moved thanks to the lovely Ashlyn at Jet2. The new rooms are definitely better !! There is no pool bar other than 2/3 hours over lunch which is ridiculous. There’s an all inclusive self serve bar tucked into reception. Fun to make your own cocktails but not what I think a 4* should be. Food went downhill very quickly when they changed chef Thurs/Fri. Hope the old one come back Saturday night. Almost no staff, they do their best but just can’t manage. Wish I could have been more positive. So much potential but just underperforms by so much. P.s. the spa consists of a small sauna and 2 x showers.

From the minute we arrived the staff couldn't have been friendlier, always happy to help. LOCATION-a short walk to Playa Blanca should the need arise. The market on a Saturday & Wednesday at the marina was lively for tourists. ACCOMADATION- is superb, great for families. We were holidaying with a teenager so having a 2 bedroomed apartment was a bonus, especially as there was 2 bathrooms! FOOD- Selection has been great, the evening meal with a buffet style starter & desert but with an A La carte main was a reverlation- a real treat. The quality of all meals has been superb. BAR- The bar & in particular Arturo the resident barman has been exceptional, his attential to details, friendly manner & mixologist skills have made our holiday. We would certainly look to return here with our extended family. All in all we had a lovely relaxing holiday & would recommend to anyone x The Murphys

We booked a deluxe bungalow during our stay and it was the best decision we could make. The bungalow was huge just for two people as it’s thought more for a family but it was extremely relaxing. We even managed to use our built in BBQ. View from our massive terrace and the hot tub were amazing. Some days we didn’t even bother to go out, we just chilled in our bungalow as we had all that we needed. I can’t commend enough the staff, who was so friendly, helpful and polite. They’ve been amazing and definitely made our holidays. We found the bungalow spotlessly clean, being refreshed every day and breakfast and dinner buffet had a wide range of choice with really good food and fresh ingredients especially the fish in the menu. The village is located in a quiet location but one can easily get to the main points of interest, beaches and restaurants. We will be back for sure.

Been here a few days so far, staff very very friendly, the rooms are incredible, the only slight but very small downside to me so far is the food choice, breakfast is what you expect and full of tasty choices, lunch choice is very small, this to me needs a little bit more choice, however dinner time makes up for this, especially the a la carte menu is great, 4 fresh choices and ussually very very tasty, The buffet side is pretty decent also. The pool is very good and the water temp is great. The accomodation is 10/10 very large rooms a great terrace with plenty of room. I suggest a extra aircon unit in the bedroom woul be great, but either way no complaints. Edit: so we have now arrived home, and we had a great great time, the staff where simply incredible throughout the whole Holiday, Special mentions to Amin, Isham(amins dad), "Monaco man", Arturo for his incredible cocktails, Maria and finally Faith in reception. Your staff really made my families Holliday a fantastic experience and we will never forget you:) Bruno

We have just landed back from a fantastic week at this hotel. It was just what we needed after a really stressful few months. Arriving at the hotel, tired and hot, we had the most friendly welcome at reception. We already knew we were winning with 2 hard to impress teenagers just smiling at the place we’d chosen. We were given bungalow 30 and it was amazing. It is so much bigger than you are led to believe. The single beds in the kids room were bigger than a normal single and the main bedroom also had a decent sized bed, all of which were really comfy. There is plenty of space for clothes etc and the bathrooms are of a decent size (kids one was slightly smaller but it meant they made less mess!). The balcony/terrace……amazing. We miss it already. The views over playa Blanca and over to Fuerteventura were beautiful and something we loved to wake up to every morning and sit and have a drink looking at each evening. The pool area is so relaxed. It’s not too quiet that the kids (and grown up kids) can’t have fun in the pool, but it still manages to keep a chilled atmosphere. People are really good about not hogging beds too. We only found twice we couldn’t get a bed but when people go back to their rooms for a bit or go out, they take their stuff with them so within an hour or so, we had a place for our towels. The food was good. Plenty of choice for all 3 meals (we were all inclusive) and only ate out twice. Each night, there is an a la carte menu with about 5 choices on which you can have alongside the buffet but you can also just choose to have the buffet. The waiting staff were brilliant. Constantly on it and always with a smile on their face. I’ve read some previous reviews about the service at the bar. We had no issues at all. That may be down to it being summer and busy but the hotel catered for it really well in my opinion. All in all, I would 100% recommend this hotel if you’re after a laid back, chilled holiday. I’m used to being more central on previous holidays but this one was perfect for a quiet, chilled out time whilst being a cheap taxi ride away from the marina. So it has the best of both. Yes, there are parts of the hotel that need a little looking after (drain round the pool is loose but easily fixable and lights on paths round the hotel at night) but we really did have the best time and have come back home feeling like we can take on the world again!

We stayed all inclusive, in room 19. Lovely spacious room, 2 bathrooms and everything else that u need in the room. Huge sun terrace complete with plenty of seating and 2 sun loungers, facing the sun for the best part of the day. Beautiful views of the island and sea in the distance. Food and drinks were fantastic , with a massive choice for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. At the evening meal you can select a choice of main course from the 5 or 6 options, and then choose from the buffet for your starter and desert courses. Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. Lovely swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds and parasols, we never struggled to find beds, although, as you would expect, there are the usual few bed hoggers but it was not a problem. Lovely quiet relaxed feel to this place, and at no point was the restaurant really busy or waiting for tables etc, ...always loads of space and plenty of staff on hand serving the food and drinks. We popped into the Rubicon Marina a few times for drinks and tapas, loads of choice there, its a 4 euro taxi ride away and there is a fantastic huge market on the marina on Wednesday and Saturday that is definitely worth visiting. All in all I would highly this holiday resort, for the quiet location, great food and drinks, and the lovely staff working there. I had read a few reviews before we went stating issues with the bars not being open and the quality of the resort, but I believe some changes have been made, and we were able to get food and drinks whenever we wanted them, from 8am, to around 10.30/11pm. The only minor things I could nit pick on would be an odd cracked tile in the bathroom, and a little general wear and tear to the apartment, but this is absolutely no big deal for me, or, reason to not stay here. We are a family of 4, with 2 children aged 14 and 17, and we all wanted a more relaxed holiday, and with the ages of our children, did not need any kids clubs or entertainment etc., Instead here, there was music playing around the pool bar area on an evening, and it was nice to just relax there and enjoy the cool breeze and the delicious cocktails!... We would not hesitate to visit again.. Thank you Bocanya Village staff!

Would definitely recommend this hotel. We had the deluxe bungalow number 5 with amazing views out to sea, a huge private terrace and hot tub. Just waking up to that view every day was magnificent. We took the half board option and had a great breakfast and dinner with lots of choice in the restaurant. For us it was the perfect cross between a villa and a hotel holiday - we had the peace and quiet of our bungalow terrace to relax and enjoy in private but also a fantastic meal service in the restaurant. The hotel was nicely situated in a quiet area but with good local shops and supermarket within walking distance and a lovely coastal footpath. The staff in the reception and the restaurant were so welcoming and friendly it felt like a home from home and made our first holiday in a very long time feel so special.
