There are some restaurants a 5 minute walk away (to the right) there is an Argentinan steak restaurant, an Italian and a Greek restaurant at the top, then down the steps there is a cocktail bar and another restaurant which serves most types of meals. They are all good. Next to Palmeras is a small shopping area where you will find the Arena bar which does cheap snacks. There is also a small grocery store and a little gift shop (was shut when we went in a March) the walk to the main shopping centre (go left)would take an able bodied person about 25 minutes. It is a lovely walk with fabulous views of Fuerteventura. Along the way you pass the restaurants and grocery shops near the nearest sandy beach, probably takes you ten minutes or so to get there. Nice to break the journey! As you approach the port at about 20 minutes walk there are numerous cafes, restaurants and touristy shops. We tend to stock up at the spar (which in on the road side rather than the promenade side) if you are healthy and mobile z( unlike me!) you can walk all the way round yo the marina. I am sure it is a Locke walk and would take an hour plus, but there are some higher end shops and fab restaurants there. If you have a car there is a grocery shop and more restaurants out near the lighthouse too. Hope that helps
