Good Points first, beautiful grounds landscaped and very lush, layout and and cleanliness were excellent. Two separate pools both large and really attractively laid out. Good varied breakfast choices for all tastes, avoid 9.30am if possible it’s very busy. Large rooms with loads of storage and a nice separate sitting area. Bed was massive and super comfortable with pillow choices. Bathroom unusually had separate toilet, loads of luggage space. On site Yaiza restaurant really good food. Snack bar did super cocktails. Hotel is in an excellent position for walking to the marina and I thought the best end of resort. Not so good points, hotel did not do anything about the old towel on sun bed in the mornings, very annoying! toiletries were minimal in bathroom and not great quality. Lot of the sun beds at top pool were broken. Checkin was far too slow and not enough staff available…..Evening entertainment was high standard but very low key. Overall a super hotel the negatives were only minor ones and I would stay there again. However, If mobility is difficult then I would not recommend this hotel there are a lot is steps and uneven walkways, the hotel is very sprawling. The entrance into reception is something else!

Just returned from staying at this hotel and iv only rated it as average for the reasons I will set out. They got the room wrong despite emailing the hotel prior to arriving. I was traveling with my mother so only had 1 double bedded room, they had to move us but even then there was 2 beds pushed together so had to rearrange the furniture in the room which is hardly acceptable after a full day travelling. Also there was only one towel and bathrobe in the room. This did eventually get sorted. There was only 1 staff member on at busy pool bar. Considering the hotel was supposed to be full how do you justify just having 1 member of staff, serving drinks and making food etc. The lady in question was called Sandra and she was brilliant at serving customers and struggling with other jobs. I felt really sorry for her doing so much on her own. She was a credit to the hotel. The sunbeds are the most uncomfortable iv ever sat on, cheaply made and half were broke. Also as with the beds in the room I woke up with aching sides every morning, again not the standard of a 5 star hotel. It wasnt all bad though, breakfast was decent and porridge was best iv ever tasted. Location was good, just a stones throw from the Marina with some very nice resteraunts and a 20 min walk to Playa Blanca central along the prominade. Wouldnt go back to this hotel again, just didnt meet the standards that im used to.

If the reservation of sun beds is ‘strictly forbidden’ why do you allow people to reserve sun beds with towels. It’s just not fair for those of us up bright and early to enjoy a day by the pool to see top spec seating being reserved. Please follow your own guidance and remove said towels.

Dear Jothomp65, On behalf of the entire team ofTHe Volcán hotel Lanzarote, we want to thank you for choosing the hotel in order to enjoy your holidays. As indicated, it is forbidden to reserve the sunbeds, the staff responsible for the security in the pool, in this case the lifeguards have orders to remove them. I am sorry that you had a problem with this fact, even so the hotel follows the stipulated rules. Except for this little incident, I hope you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to see you soon. Kind regards, Natalia Bravo de Laguna Manager THe Volcán Lanzarote nataliabravodelaguna@hotelesthe.com

We enjoy travel & exploring new places. However, when we were looking for a last minute week in the sun we decided to return to the Volcan (last visit 2 years ago) Once again we cannot fault the hotel or staff. Everything was just as we found on our last visit. Fabulous location within a very short distance from the beautiful Rubicon Marina. The hotel is immaculately clean and well maintained. Our room was large with a great balcony and breakfast was outstanding with lots of choice. The hotel is situated on a huge plot, therefore it feels really quiet and peaceful without hustle & bustle. Perfect for couples wanting a quiet/relaxing break. We wouldn’t hesitate recommending this hotel to family & friends and will definitely consider a stay here in future.

My wife and I stayed for 8 nights in the club section of the hotel in September 2021. We enjoyed our stay there very much. It is a beautiful hotel with huge swimming pools, a great variety of food choices at the buffet, and a nice smaller dining section in the Club area which is reserved for adults. This was our first visit to Lanzarote and we had flown all the way from Canada to get here. The hotel is located in a quieter area of Playa Blanca next to the marina. Within a short walk was the lovely area by the Marina with shops, restaurants , a small mall and a little grocery store. Our room was very clean, amenities were always plentiful, and the room at night was very quiet for sleeping. Since our flight was not leaving until later in the day they offered us a Courtesy Room to use until later in the day after we checked out of our regular room. The front desk staff, especially Stuart and Juan were extremely helpful with accommodating us and providing answers to our questions and assisting us. I would recommend to anyone who would like to stay in a beautiful resort with friendly staff to give the Hotel Volcan a try, you will not be disappointed!
