Have just returned from the hotel club volcan and haven't been disappointed from reception staff management restaurant staff and room domestic . Very clean and the rooms very good. We had a pool and sea view the pool boy never stopped cleaning. The breakfast was cooked to order also buffet and plenty of choice. The club offered afternoon tea with prosecco and on an evening from 6.30 to 9pm a complimentary bar with top brands. We were with a family of 11 and our favourite members of staff were Zacharias and Angie . Zacharias went beyond his duty to help and be so so pleasant to everyone nothing was to much trouble . Thank you Zacharias from the family x We will return

Just had a lovely one week break here, jan 2022. Lovely staff, kept clean and good food (well breakfast is a bit limited, i,e Pork is the only meat and a long queue & wait for fried eggs .). It's adverised as a 5 star, but that must have been some time ago, but still a good 4 star in our books. Great position as well. The room was a little dated, the fan didn't work and the aircon was very noisy so couldn't sleep with it on. The sea view we paid a little extra for was only just visible. The TV was very temperamental and the floor tiles old and chipped. Great that they put on some sort of entertainment every night, but not far from bars etc on the Marina. One other thing we thought there was a heated pool, but couldn't find one.

Imaginative architecture set in nicely landscaped grounds and in a good location. Rooms are large and reasonably well equipped. Nice, helpful staff. Breakfast choice is wide and well presented but hot food is tepid at best and sometimes just plain cold which is avoidable if there was a will to do so. On site restaurants rather uninspiring. It advertises itself as a 5* hotel: 20 years ago when first built, quite possibly but not now. Needs a bit of an update in places but given the last two years, this could be forgiven. Overall, ideal for a few days R&R. Np real complaints.

I am not sure where to begin with this. I have never before experienced rudeness to the extent I did with the reception staff at this hotel. When checking in, an assitant manager tried to hustle another €140 on top of the price suggesting that details were not completed online before ultimately conceding that they were. When checking out, I had to help my partner with bags from the room and left an expensive jacket on the bed behind me. I returned to the hotel 3 hours later to collect the jacket and was informed it was not there. I was met with 'If it is an important jacket, why did you leave it behind you' and 'we checked the room, it is not there'. I am certain I left the jacket there and the only logical conclusion is that it was stolen by either cleaning staff or the reception staff. I cannot prove this of course but they refused to check cameras when I asked. The bizarre curt attitude of the reception staff was both disturbing and shocking particularly as it is suggested that this is a 5 star hotel. The hotel is extremely dated and was built in around 2001. The room had an outrageously loud air conditioning unit which meant very little sleep. The breakfast had everything but was of such poor quality you would be reluctant to return. The reception staff however were unlike anything I have ever experienced - the service was genuinely shocking. Please bear in mind that I was extremely patient and courteous with staff but their behaviour meant I was left with no choice but to make a report to police and lodge a claim in the EU small claims court. Not a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination.

Stayed for a week over New Year with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We opted for Club status and, as others have said, would definitely recommend. The hotel is situated in the Marina Rubicon area of Playa Blanca. Cannot fault any part of our stay - the staff were a credit to the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return in the future.
