#1 of 100 hotels in Sant Antoni de Portmany
The family-managed Gran Sol Hotel is one of San Antonio's favourite, modestly priced hotels: it lies in a quieter corner of the resort just a short walk away from the town centre and beach of San Antonio. There is a fresh-water swimming-pool on a spacious sun-terrace complete with loungers and sun-shades. There is also a garden with lawn for more serious sunbathing. The small sandy beach of Caló d'es Moro is less than 100m from the hotel whilst the beaches of Cala Grassio and more sophisticated Cala Grassioneta are a stroll down the coast.

All in all good hotel , but some of the receptionists are absolutely rude and unfriendly On the evening on our arrival the guy on the reception and the old woman were both truly rude and unfriendly!!! First of all that person take us in very rude manner that our booking is not active despite the confirmation we have on booking and on email, he just told his speech :“ I say you what happened and doesn’t matter what you say to me I’m not going to solve this problem, you changed the name on booking so your booking was canceled, so just take one night or go away!!!”. So he informed us that he only can provide us with room for one night instead of two as we asked in Booking.com chat and they approved that they confirm our reserving. Even after I showed to him the official answer he refused even to listen us and refused to continue the conversation despite we were the clients of the hotel. Than we agreed to stay and pay for one night, after that The Old woman took our Passports for check in and said that she need nearly our to make a check in ( I have never waited so much time to check in) so She didn’t return the passports in one hour, and only when I try explained to her that we are hurt to go for a party to the club and we need our ID , she managed to make a copies of our passports (1:30 hours for check-in is ridiculous) When we finally got our ID , we asked about the time when we can go for the breakfast , instead of giving the information about the schedule for breakfast, that Old woman started to tell us different strange things that we should come to her and pay money for the breakfast first of all and only than she will show us where is the restaurant- that was fantastically unpleasant experience of communication. From our point of view , such persons as we talked about , should definitely to be instructed how they should communicate with tourists who come to the hotel!!!

Dear Sergii, we are sorry to hear about the problems you encountered due to your reservation not being modified correctly. Please note that any changes to your reservation must be done with booking.com and to be valid should appear on your new booking confirmation voucher that you will receive via email After checking our records we can see that luckily we where able to solve the problem and where able to fit you in for the nights that you wanted as there had been a cancellation. By law we must scan all guests passports and this process takes about 10 minutes, guests may wait next to reception or go to their room and collect them when convenient as you did. We are also sorry about the misunderstanding about breakfast, you had not booked it and in this case you must come to reception to pay before you go to the dinning room. This was our fifth visit to this hotel and, as always, it was excellent. This hotel is comfortable, spotlessly clean, generally quiet and is well situated in San Antonio, far enough away from the lunatic “strip” but within walking distance of the action should you want it. The staff are friendly and intolerant of noise or rowdiness, which will suit most people and families looking for a holiday. Looking forward to another visit in 2022.

Definitely choose this hotel if you’re looking for a good place with great ambiance to stay in Ibiza! The staff is very nice, polite and approachable. The hotel rooms are clean and cleaning is done daily if you desire. There are mini refrigerators which is a plus! And the pool closing at 9pm is very convenient as well! It’s close to the Sant Antoni bus station and city center so it’s easy to get around. About 10/12 minutes walk. There is also a beach a few metres away for some relaxation pleasure. Highly recommend!

I stayed 5 nights bed & breakfast and was happy with every minute of it. The room was clean and well appointed with toiletries, tea & coffee facilities, tv, air conditioning and a fridge. Hot water was constant and plentiful and cleaning staff were in every day to change towels and make the bed. Wifi was always available and hourly reconnecting always worked without issue. My room had a balcony with 2 chairs and a table and even a small line with pegs to hang items to dry or refresh which I thought was a lovely little touch. Breakfast offered a huge selection of food - both cooked and continental including pancakes, pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, cheeses, cold meats, yoghurts and basics like tea, coffee and toast. You can eat your fill up to 11am and you won't leave hungry! All areas were clean and tidy, inside and outside. The pool and sunbathing area was well laid out with very pleasant staff available to take orders for food and drink if you wanted. The pool was clean with a shallow end for children and a deeper end that lead to the "hot tub" (which is just an extension of the pool and doesn't have hot water in it - my only slight issue!) Masks weren't required outside, but were necessary in all indoor public areas including the lifts and corridors. There were holiday makers of all ages and a lot of nationalities staying and the staff were more than happy to cater to us all. It's an easy walk from the bus station to the hotel and there's a beautiful walkway not too far from the Gran Sol with stunning views along with cafes and restaurants leading to Port Sant Antoni where you can take boat trips and visit various shops Staff were all friendly and helpful and organised a taxi for me when I was leaving. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Ibiza and Sant Antony de Portmany.

This was an excellent hotel, the Price - Service relationship was spot on. The front desk team is super friendly and willing to help 24/7. Rooms are neat, tidy, clean, good furniture. Overall is an excellent place to stay. They offered lockers for our last day after check out and a private shower which came in really handy. Well done to all and thank you so much for your kind service!
