The owners went above and beyond for us after a tough day in the mountains and having to move from another hostel. So accommodating! Rooms have beautiful mountain views, luxury bathrooms, and are so comfortable. The food was also very impressive, definitely get breakfast. A perfect mountain stay in Zdiar!

Just few things because I recommend this guest-house… First- your feelings is like you come to your second home. Second is- beautiful place where you can sleep( old-fashioned rooms) everything was clean like diamond. Third-Incredible good homemade food! Fourth-Very cuty dog called Bobo. And the last one- very kind and polite owners.

Beautiful new pension with very kind owners. Rooms are spacy and new furnished. There are fridge, TV, balcony an towels available in the room. Bathroom is top luxury like 5 stars hotel. The whole our stay was like in a fairytale. I do recommend breakfast - it was realy amazing. It has been our second time at this place, and we absolutely loved it (again)! The owners are extremely nice - they serve amazing food, the rooms are super clean! I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone, who wants to spend a few days, or even a week (as we did, both times) relaxing in peace and quiet with of course the beauty of Slovakia! Will go again! ;)

After out citytrip to Krakow we wanted to go to Zakopane to do a hiking activity. We were suprised by the big crowd and decided to drive somewhat further. Just across the border we found this fantastic guesthouse (Penzion). It felt like an undiscovered pearl in the beautiful Tatra mountain area.
This guesthouse houses 8 beautifully decorated rooms. The rooms are complete, clean and bright. Since we decided to have included breakfast (an absolute must if you enjoy fresh and varied breakfast every morning). The two owners do this breakfast together (Anne is doing serving, Igor is doing the cooking). A wonderful duo who are working hard to make us comfortable!!
The area around Dziar is beautiful. The Tatra mountain area from Slovakian side is wonderful. Not as many people as in Zakopane luckily so that the hiking trails are almost free to walk (many hiking trails around Dziar can be found at wandermap.net) If you have a car one should definitely drive to Cerveny Klastor with the route through Osturna: fantastic scenery in the preserved nature area over there.
For us we will definitely come back to this place back again!

We had a very nice stay in Zdiar. The gasthaus looks new, very clean and with cosy rooms. THe owners are very friendly. What we have enjoyed were the amazing breakfast (fresh ingredients, tasty and nicely served). Position of the gasthaus is very convenient as well.

We had a very pleasant stay at Penzion Budzak. The owners were nice, the rooms (we were given a bigger room after one day due to organisational problems) big and cosy and the breakfast was simply amazing! We'd come back anytime.
