Frankly disgusted with some of the reviews. I'm here right now. Hotel is probably the best placed hotels on a beautiful beach, at the end of the strip which is seconds away. The hotel is slightly dated but spotless. Maid every day. Pool area and gardens are lovely. Staff are pleasant enough. Very attentive. The breakfast is typical European and really not a problem. Breads, cheese, ham, fruit, cereals. The fussy other bad reviews need look at the price. For the price its great. In fact I don't understand why this hotel is as cheap as it is. Very very pleasantly surprised.

So it was a 45 minute walk from Portimao Train Station (for which I knew) and it was fine as I am an avid walker. The Hotel was nice and big, nice pool area with sun beds and was sooo quiet.. Felt like a basic 3 Star Hotel..The Reception was welcoming and the rooms were spacious - Had a Bath which was a bonus, but water went cold after a while of running tap - managed to get one thankfully - let down! Slept ok, beds a bit too firm and pillows a bit too soft. TV could do with some English Channels. Breakfast was terrible- so minimal, so bare, so sad looking... No music playing, no ambience..Toaster takes forever! The location was far out.. I wouldn't come back in a hurry!..Price was nice!

I stayed here for 2 nights having booked through on the Beach for a weekend trip over Easter. On arrival you are met with friendly English and German speaking staff. You can instantly tell the hotel is geared up for German visitors (not a problem for me). The hotel uses a very modern key card system that uses NFC. This means you cant put in say for example a club-card to keep the electric on on the room. BUT you can use an NFC card like an Oyster card (which I did). The room has a very very small TV which I only could find Sky News on. The room features a very good air conditioning Unit and fridge. I tried to stay clear of the fridge and it was very dirty with stains on the outside. The bathroom was different with a mad paint scheme that reminded me of when my bathroom roof collapsed at home once. The bathroom was sadly not clean with marks around the sink and the shower curtain really needed a clean. You are offered basic toiletries but I chose to use my own. The shower was very good and powerful. The bed was strange. I wouldn't say it wasn't comfortable but I did seem to get a quality sleep. I didn't like the pillows. Often when I travel I do take my own pillow but didn't on this occasion. There is a good view from the balcony of the sea and pool; I did pay an additional £10 for a sea view. I didn't like that the design of the hotel meant that other rooms could look directly into your room/balcony. Breakfast was very very basic. You had the choice of 3 cereals, scrambled egg, bacon, 1 choice of cheese, 1 choice of ham and fresh bread. The hotel coffee machine was horrible (but I am very fussy about my coffee), so chose to bring my own on the second day. Whilst the food choice was limited it all tasted quite good. I normally stay in much larger hotels so being at the hotel with its smaller breakfast room was quite nice. The bar was of a good size and offered a good selection of national and international drinks including cocktails. Drinks was great and a decent price. This is a bar food menu but when I ordered I was told there was only a few items. I have a cheese and tomato pizza (11 Euros) it was quite nice. Bar man was very friendly and there is a large screen tv. What I couldn't understand was the bar does not open till midday. Not far from the hotel is the main strip offering bars, restaurants and shops. The highlight of the stay for me was the pool. It was quite large and offered a good number of sun loungers. The hotel cost £67 and a £10 upgrade on top for sea view. This was for 2 nights bed and breakfast. Granted it was a good price but for me I wouldnt stay again as it was just too basic.

The hotel looks nothing like the pictures, I regret not taking photos of the old scratched furniture and the mold in the bathroom. But the worse part was the food there! same poor breakfast every day of the week, probably the cheapest products on the market:few slices of ham and cheese, some butter and jam and if you woke up really early maybe some scrambled eggs. Not one piece of fruit or vegetables. It was the only hotel I saw guests bring their own breakfast! And the services also really bad... at that point I was upset I didn't understand portuguese to know why the ladies were picking on us. But their attitude was enough! Definetly not a 3 star hotel although the price is! So NOT recommended! The only good thing there was the reception. Even they couldn't help us, at least they were nice.

Stayed for a week on our first visit to Portugal. What a pleasant surprise this hotel is. Great location adjacent to the magnificent Algarve beach, and handy for exploring bar car the pretty Algarve coast. The hotel backs on to a lovely (mainly pedestrian) walkway leading to the many quaint bars, restaurants and stalls overlooking the beautiful coast, and, further along, to the picturesque harbour. Parking available on the main street at the front of the hotel. Large swimming pool with loungers in well maintained rear gardens with adjoining snack bar/cafe area. Reasonable breakfasts available with good choice of foods. Lovely clean room with balcony overlooking pool and sea. Friendly English-speaking staff, hope to return for another stay. Fantastic!!
