Travelled here as family of 5 in late August just after quarantine restrictions were lifted. You check in at the Be Live Palmeiras village hotel which is all inclusive very busy with what seemed to be Portuguese guests. Arrived at 1:45pm at told check in 3pm, however after expressing my dissatisfaction our room was suddenly made available within 20mins. Nice hotel but SC guests are not permitted to use any of the facilities despite it being part of the same complex. Apartments were clean, very spacious and well equipped for SC. Neither of the restaurants on the complex for SC guests were open just the cafe 9-1pm apart from Sunday - closed. Pool bar was poor, drinks served were all inclusive sizes so €2 for 200ml beer ?? This was because AL guest at the hotel could use pool around the apartments but we couldn’t use the other pools over at the hotel! My teenage sons were told they couldn’t even use the games room as they didn’t have a wristband 😠 Porches is a nice small village but has limited restaurants but does have a large intermache supermarket about a 10 min walk. We walked in to Armação de Pere and it took about 25-30mins however Uber is readily available and cost around €3.50 each way. Armação de pere is a really lovely town with plenty of shops, cafe bars and restaurants and more lovely beaches. We had a lovely holiday and found lots of great places to eat. It was disappointing that the eateries at the complex were closed and as a SC guest sort of made to feel ‘second best’ in compared to the AL guests. But if you just want a base to explore the local area or spend time around the pool or beach then the Be Smart should ‘fit the Bill’

We arrived here after 9pm the receptionist was a lovely lady and very helpful, as we were all inclusive she put our suitcases into a room and told us we could eat in the restaurant before heading to our apartment. Our apartment was great very big and had everything we needed. The location was great, we felt it very quiet, relaxing and safe and the scenery was amazing. As we were all inclusive we had full access to everything in the main hotel, which we used more as we could get drinks by the pool. The only issue we had was the rooms were so noisy you could here everything from our apartment, the beds were uncomfortable, it was so cold in the room at night and we had to walk 4 flights of stairs every single day, no elevators in the appartments. But this doesn't take away from the place itself.

We just arrived from Portugal yesterday and still so impressed. We checked in after midnight, receptionist was very polite, got our key (which has a little chip to access swimming pool), also took a kettle (£20 euros deposit) and TV remote (£10). Took us a little bit to find our block, but how surprised we were when we opened the door to our apartment! 2 massive spacious bedrooms with 2 beds each (plus conditioner), kitchionette with longe, TV, conditioner, all kitchen utensils (important for us as halfboarders), fridge / freezer old but in working condition. Also need to mention that apartments were recently redecorated and all is very clean. Cleaning was done every second day, towels and bed linen changed once (we stayed for 8nights). Breakfast was ok, but dinner was amazing, plenty different dishes to try - a lot of roasted / grilled meat every night:) lovely desserts too! But the most important is the location - 10 min walk (with kids!) to absolutely stunning beaches which are enclosed in beautiful cliffs - probably this what makes these beaches cosy and warm, not windy at all as other open beaches, for example:) Scenery is absolutely stunning, we made tonnes of pictures. Took a lovely boat trip (boarding is at Senhora da Rocha beach) to see famous Algarve caves including Benagil, managed to see dolphins too! Next time we might try Be Live as there are 4 stars and then you have access to more interesting kids swimming pool including flumes:) We walked a lot around, were swimming in the ocean every day (in October!) temperature was 27 on arrival then gradually decreased to 23 or so, water temp was around 18 or 19 but it was very pleasant - so much fun in waves!! We had one cloudy day, but in general weather was stunning! Supermarket Intermarche is about 20 min from hotel, if you need souveniers better check smaller shops. It was very relaxing holiday (even with kids:) in beautiful and warm place! Definitely visit Cova Redonda beach (lots of beautiful seashells:), and others too : Senhora da Rocha and Praia Nova - they all are very close to hotel. Highly recommend!

Spent 6 days here early October. Apartment 113, on the ground floor about a 3 minute walk to the main hotel, spacious, comfortable, quiet. Breakfast from 7.30am varied and plentiful, with fresh fruit, cereals, cold meats, salad, eggs, bacon, croissants, cakes, juices and hot drinks from dispensers. Pool area plenty of sunbeds around pool and grassy verges nearby with lots more loungers. Pool-bar opens at 10.30am and is constantly busy, the majority of guests are all-inclusive explaining why! Cold water available from dispensers beside the bar. Reception is well-staffed and helpful. Bars and restaurants nearby, about 5 minutes walk to the nearest. Road train runs hourly, be careful to check the last one back from town as the summer schedule seems to have been replaced by a less reliable one(taxi back to the hotel cost us just over 6 euros). Pedro's bar on the beach is a drop-off point and a great place to sit and enjoy the setting sun, with live music at the weekend. Beaches are all stunning, secluded if you so wish, or more public with beach-bar and boat-trips. Hotel is very popular with French guests who arrive by the coachload but lots of British holidaymakers as well. Entertainment provided in the evening, though the lounge-bar appeared to have a constant queue waiting to be served. Not sure how much the drinks are as the bar-staff seem happy to treat everyone as all-inclusive! All in all the hotel has great facilities and I wouldn't hesitate to book a return visit.
