Welcome to Misia Lapa [Mee shya Wa pa], or Bear Paw Apartments in English! Nested in the heart of the Polish highlands, Misia Lapa was born from the love of nature and the need of a peaceful retreat in the spirit of traditional Polish culture. Our newly opened guest house with a breathtaking view on the Tatra Mountains was designed to offer our guests a quiet and comfortable stay as an ideal break from big city life. Misia Lapa is located in Bukowina Tatrzanska, a small county of the Podhale region, the southernmost part of Poland and the heart of the Tatra mountain range, which serves as a natural border with neighboring Slovakia. The house is only 800 meters away from the Rusin-Ski resort, and close to many soft slopes and mountain trails. You can take a hike directly from our guest house, go to the nearby Bukovina thermal complex and the many other attractions waiting for you in the surroundings of Bukowina Tatrzanska and Zakopane. Accommodation at Misia Lapa consists of 5 comfortable, stylish and fully featured apartments, providing you with a unique and cozy atmosphere during your stay. In each apartment you will find a bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen corner. In the evening, you are welcome to join us and the other guests for some quality time by the fireplace, or gather with your friends in the common living room and take advantage of the self-service bar. Come enjoy a pleasant stay in a land of wonders!

Wow, this place is amazing! The apartment we had (Bear Highlander) was perfect. All the furnishings and fittings were of such high spec, everything was spotless, we felt as if we were the first people to have stayed here! The welcome we received from Alicja was so lovely, providing us with information about where to go, local restaurants and things to etc, as well as showing us around the building and apartment. The views from our terrace were stunning, and the location of the apartments was perfect, the only noise you could hear were the cows! You do need a car to get to the local restaurants and amenities (although there is a small shop and a small bar within a couple of minutes walk of the apartment). If you are thinking of where to stay in the area, stay here, you will definitely not be disappointed. We had a wonderful stay and would come here again without a doubt. Loved it!

Misia Łapa has got to be one of the most incredible places I have visited in the last few years, if not ever. I should make it clear, that being a Polish romantic mountain lover does not make me one bit biased. You will not be disappointed. You simply can't be disappointed. Where do I begin? I could write pages upon pages about the coziness and hominess of the apartments, the breathtaking views of the peaks of the Tatra mountains from the terraces which hold a very special place in my heart, the amazing brisk air, an alluring mixture of mountain breeze and fresh pine caressing your nostrils and sending your brain into a state of literal trance, the smell of untreated wood bringing in memories from my childhood, the innovative decor which combines borderline abstract art with old traditional craft from the region and finally the absolutely out of this world friendly owners....but I won't. I simply can't. No adjective or poetry in any language could accurately describe all of the aforementioned feelings. Equally no photograph could recreate the natural beauty of the surrounding area. You truly have to experience it for yourself. A word of caution however: once you come here, you are bound to come back, again, and again, and again...and perhaps, as in my case...one may ponder why live anywhere else but here. For a mountain lover it is, as far as I am concerned, as close to heaven as you can get.
