We booked a room in Villa Fortuna in Otrant Beach Hotel for the beginning of the July'13.
The hotel has huge and green territory and nice beach (whole Velika Plaza beach is 13 km lengthwise). Entire day price of 2 sunbeds + umbrella is 5 euro. Shallow sea along the shore -excellent for kids.

Essentially:

Accomodation:
+ Spacious room
+ Good quality furniture
- Bathroom without air vent and shower curtain becomes to swamp
- A lot of mosquitos
- Bad cleaning
Villa's visitors have "All inclusive Soft".

Food:
+ Delicious melon and watermelon
- Food monotony
- Lack of vegetables (esp. tomatoes)
All Inclusive for Villa's visiters (green bracelets) is more strict than for people who live in main building (blue and white bracelets). But we did not see any snacks between breakfast and dinner or dinner and supper for blue and white bracelets - just drinks.

Service:
+ Quick accomodation
+ Good reception staff
- The rest hotel staff almost could not speak English
Nobody told us about "All Inclusive Soft" rules of using swimming-pools and soft drinks. So we had misunderstandings with hotel staff.

Swimming-pools:
Hotel has two big swimming-pools: one (opened) is located near main building, another (covered) - near beach bar

Our problems:
1.On the second day of our staying at 6:45 am we tried to take up a couple of sunbeds near main swimming-pool. We could not do this because all sunbeds had been occupied - towel were lying on sunbeds but there was nobody there(breakfast begins at 7 am). And we decided to take the sunbeds on the sea shore. Besides, we rented a car for 3 days and problem with the pool was gone at all.

2.On the final day of our staying in the hotel we decided to take sunbeds near swimming-pool for all that. So I got up earlier, at 6 am, and put our towels and other belongings on two sunbeds.
After brekfast we could not find our stuff on them. We found them on the chair at the stage near the pool in huge pile of towels and other things. We were a little bit shocked. I saw a lot of angry people around who had found their belongings in that pile.
Then we were watching the following: few guys from hotel staff were waiting while somebody put his own belongings on the sunbed and go away, then they took it and throw it to the same pile of towels.
I tried to say to one of the staff guys that they better should give advance notice not to occupy the sunbed if they were not going to use it. But he did not understand me. Besides, he tried to say something about my green bracelets and that I had to go to another (covered) swimming-pool. His speech was so thick so I have great difficulty in catching what he was saying.

In 10 minutes he came again and said that I had to go to reception. Girls on reception told me that I had to go away from occupied sunbeds because of the hotel rules: green bracelets can use only sunbeds near covered pool and only people with blue and white bracelets use sunbeds near main building! But we hadn't known about it! Nobody had told us about it! We hadn't seen any description of this rule. Besides, on the first days of our staying this rule was observed by no one! They said that is was the order of their manager.
I rejected and they said they had to call the police. We had to go away and we were filled with indignation.

Summary: Otrant Beach is an ordinary hotel with a great lack of managing.

ok newly renovated hotel, doesn't feel exactly like an 'Iberostar" hotel. Perfect location, on a long sandy Ulcinj beach. Ok breakfast, nice variety of food. Staff could be a bit more organised and more pleasant. No wifi access in the rooms, only in the hotel public areas. Has a small pool just in front of the beach with sunbeds. It was really quiet in the evening, good for relaxing. Keep in mind that there a strong wind everyday in the afternoon and lots of mosquitoes. Average stay, would recommend it since i don't think there is a much brother spectrum of choice. This hotel is mainly suitable for younger people. Price could be lower especially in May.

The hotel is a 4 star.. On paper... In reality some facilities not even a 1 star. The beach is sandy but very dirty. The sunbeds are looking very bad and you have to pay for it seperately. It is not so nice from such a hotel. If you have a seaview room be prepared to listen something called music till 11:30. The play it even only 1 person dancing there. The rooms are clean only where you can see. If move a curtain the dust is behind really bad. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is the only one to have a 4 stars!

I was there with my family during May 2014 - and I stayed for a weekend. Everything was in its place and nothing 'big' to criticize.

Room: clean - everything working - and pretty well organized.
Breakfast & Dinner:Swedish table - various things to eat - some specials @ dinner.
Beach & Sea: Clean - with seats&beds well organized.
Fun: Beach bar (extra payments) - playground for kids.
Staff: Helpful and kind.
Wireless: Working good @ my room 107 :)
Price: 33€ per person for a night with breakfast and dinner;

I would go there - again & again - with my family (wife, daughter);

If someone needs more info about something that I didn't mention - write without hesitation - I'll try to answer as soon as I can.

Thnx.

The title is just a phrase by which this hotel can be undoubtedly described! Everythig is being kept clean and tidy, there is Wi-Fi provided, not to forget incredibly convenient location next to the beach with seats provided. The food is really tasty and the coffee served during meals shall easily come up to most peoples' expectations.

Everything that the hotel has to offer is in shadow of horrible, terrible, unbearable live music that tortures entire neighborhood EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Amateur singers and even worse sound make me wanna jump off the nearby cliff 8th night in a row now. If you wanna spend your vacation on sleeping pills, choose the Otrant hotel or its neighborhood.

This hotel is extremely DIRTY. It's unbelievable. Very overpriced. Very bad service. Impolite and rude staff....They don't even like to say "Good day" to guests. It's noisy everywhere, even at night. We will never come back.

It has a great location beach wise. It is fully renovated (lobby and common areas) while the halls to the rooms and rooms should be better maintained.

I think this hotel needs a management change. Rooms are clean on visible areas. However, I've found the same hair under the toilet seat every day I stayed there. Therefore, it seems like they didn't bother to clean it very well. And the towel on my first day had some marks.

No list of phone numbers was on the room by the phone. I wanted to contact the lobby but the phone number was nowhere to be found.

My room, 1233 had moisture and mold (as you can see on the pic). The view was not good, mainly because of a structure built above the main entrance to the hotel that had blocked the view from my room.

Around midnight, I believe the hotel staff was being supplied with inventory. It was very loud and they woke me up.

Staff was trying to be nice and I appreciate their efforts but I believe they are not properly trained and have no good tools to perform in their job.

Basically, if you like cleanliness, you should not go there.
