My husband and I added a 3 night extension in Florence following our Viking "Romantic Mediterranean" Cruise from Barcelona to Rome---the accommodations and service at this Villa were absolutely incredible, There were over 20 of us from the cruise who enjoyed the beautifully appointed rooms and baths full of antique furnishings and modern conveniences such as hairdryers and wifi. There...

We stayed three nights at the Villa following the conclusion of our Viking cruise from Barcelona to Rome. There were 22 of us from the cruise, and we were blown away by the whole experience in Tuscany. For several, the extension at the villa and the Viking excursions were even better than the cruise itself. This was due in no...

It was our first time in Italy and we were delighted to have chosen this beautiful Villa to enjoy the Tuscan hospitality for the 6 nights of our stay. The setting is majestic and the grounds beautiful and peaceful. We visited Florence and the Chianti vineyards and enjoyed getting back to relax by the beautiful pool, and stay on most...

Our family was blessed to experience the idyllic wedding of our nephew at Villa il Poggiale. We visited in September of 2015. Our weather was perfect and the rolling hills with endless views of vineyards and olive groves captured our attention wherever we looked. Upon entering the estate, we were captivated by the old world charm and sprawling lawns. The...

We stayed in Villa il Poggiale for 3 nights in December 2016. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, maintaining the original atmosphere and decor of the old mansion. The location is great and San Casciano itself is a lovely little town. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and gladly assisted with any question or request we had.

We stayed at this Villa for three days in December, 2016, as a post extension to a Viking Ocean Cruise which terminated in Venice. Even though this was off season for this area the villa was great, very clean, and breakfasts and dinner there were wonderful. Surroundings of vineyards and rolling hills are beautiful and during late summer and fall...

Lovely spot, reasonable staff, but furnishings are worn and dinner was inedible both nights. The furnishings outside our door were garage sale grade, if that. The bath just felt unclean, especially when a towel put on the floor after use was re-hung without a clean replacement. Two employees, males clearly not of Italian descent, were unfriendly to the point of...

Dear Lcc Design, Are you sure you are talking about our villa? We have no male servants or staff, except for Cyril who does not attend rooms and is most civilized. All our furnishing come from Tuscan artisans, maybe they do not meet your taste? I do not know what else to say. Thank you Best Regards Monica

Elegant but comfortable historic villa. We appreciated our larger room-clean and quiet. Many places to sit inside and outside with a glass of wine enjoying ambiance. Very personable hotel hosts and dining workers. Food was memorable-one dinner rated in our best meals of our time in Italy. Perfect place to stay first nights on a 2 week anniversary trip since...
