This place is physically great. Fantastic location overlooking nice vineyards and landscapes. Very nice scenery, interesting buildings and history. If not, this would have scored a One-button. We had the "Tower rooms" with a single bed for our daughter placed at the top, up the spindle stairs. Poor access with luggage and do not think of a fire escape? Room...

Castello Di Gabbiano is a welcome retreat from the heat of Florence in July and a magical place to have a break. The relaxed ambience instilled by Cornelia is a so special. We loved the honesty bar by the pool and the interesting art in all the rooms. An added bonus was the incredible restaurant with its beautiful terrace on...

Although we did not stay at the castillo, we dropped in for a spot of wine tasting. The place is spectacular with wonderful views. Wine tasting was great, with a significant selection. Classic Tuscan Chianti, amongst other wines. Always good to visit the vineyard of the wines you like to drink back home.

We thoroughly relished the excellently prepared and presented food and wines, as well as simple, elegant accommodation in this stunning setting! Cannot recommend highly enough! As well as their delectable wines and food made with home grown produce, their olive oil is particularly high quality and noteworthy. Additionally they arranged an excellent tour of Florence for us, and if we'd...

This was one of my favourite experiences! Il castello (the castle) lies in the middle of olive grove and vineyard and the exterior is spectacular! Also interior, everthing is so tasteful and thoughtfully selected, rooms are beautifully furnished! We stayed just for one night, but we will come back for sure as soon as possible! Breakfast was delicious, you can...

After leaving the masses of tourists in Venice and Florence we made the short drive from Florence to Castello di Gabbiano. We booked a wine tour and thoroughly enjoyed the informative tour that included the grounds around the castle and the wine cellar. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout the short tour. The best part...

Great property in the middle of beautiful Chianti region. The hotel is wonderful, in the castle directly, well appointed, service is nice and the breakfast is really good with local products. The winery visit is great too and interesting. The wines are excellent, especially Alleanza et Bellanza ones.

This is one of the two places designated "agriturismo" myself and my boyfriend stayed on our 10 day trip through Rome, Florence, and Tuscany. Agriturismo is essentially a working farm/vineyard/olive producer that has opened up for people to stay. Some are more like B&B's and others are more hotel-like in character. This place is somewhere in between hotel and B&B....

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful winery. The staff go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and a part of the family. From the room to poolside, library and lounge there is space to relax and enjoy the stunning surrounds. To compliment the beautiful accomodation is the restaurant. The food, wine and service we...

We were driving in Chianti when we saw the sign by the side of the road. We turned up the hill and after a mile or so found the entrance. After driving up the long driveway the castle came into view. Absolutely beautiful on the hill among all the grapes and olives. We looked around at the castle but did...
