Truly magical was how everyone described our wedding, even on a rainy dreary day in November! Words can't describe how perfect Chiara (who runs the castle) and our wedding planner (Elena) executed our overall Castle experience, especially our wedding day. We had 50 friends and

I had my wedding here and it proved to be even more beautiful than I ever imagined. I worked with Chiara at the castle and she was extremely responsive, making planning a destination wedding from Singapore easy. She was also very knowledgable of the various vendors that we could

Our wedding was over a year in the making, and when it all finally happened, it was beyond anything we'd ever imagined! When we first found Montalto, I was in love but I thought there was no way we could afford it.My then-fiance thought we should at least ask, and from the

Staying at the Castello di Montalto was an amazing experience. It is so secluded and quiet and was just an amazing opportunity to get away from civilization. That said, only 10 minutes from restaurants and the town of Castelnuevo Beredenga where they have everything you need.

Not really. It is isolated about 4km off the main road and you really need a car to fully experience the area

Hello, a 3 bedrooms apartment would be better for a party of 6. Montalto is not a luxury hotel : we rent self catering apartments.

The easiest way to get to Castello di Montalto from abroad is to fly into Florence - Peretola airport - and meet a prebooked hire car for the roughly one hour drive from there. If you get in touch with the castle directlly (reception@montalto.eu) we can even get a local car rental company to picck you up at the airport and then have you find a rental car waiting for you at the castle, which you can drop off here when you leave. The drive is not bad from Florence, if you want atao rent a car at the airport there. You get onto the autostrada A1 toward ROME, exit at VALDICHIANA, drive to LEVANE and then straight down the road (SP540) until you see the MONTALTO sign on your right, which brings you straight to the castle via a 3 km gravel road. Ita will take youless than an hour and a half - half the distance from Rome and a quarter that from Milan. Buon viaggio!

"Any room on the property is great; the whole castle is isolated, far up a hill from the road."
"Try several and pick your favorite!"
"La Loggia is a great size with 4 en-suites and a beautiful terrace with wonderful views. Any villa you chose will be wonderful and unique."
"Frattoria annex perfect for 5 friends but there is no aircon. Nights were hot in July and the mozzies abundant."
"Each apartment is beautiful with unique features so hard to recommend particular rooms. Vescovo and Loggia are perfect for larger groups."
