Fattoria di Corsignano is a charming country cozy hotel as well as a producer of Chianti Classico, a perfect location for important events and a host for many different activities including all inclusive culinary vacations. It is located in Siena, Italy, just 8 km from Siena but immersed in the rolling hills of the Tuscan landscape. Siena is the central point in Tuscany which makes daily excursions to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Perugia as well as to the ancient villages of San Gimignano, Volterra, Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano easily possible.Four country homesteads have been converted to apartments, recently restored but preserving the pure Tuscan style with terracotta floors, wood beamed ceilings and stone walls. The apartments and suites are filled with thousands of family memories; trunks, kneading-troughs, antique glass cases, and other pieces of antique furniture little by little discovered in the local markets and have been restored by the wise touch of the Tuscan hand crafters.Fattoria di Corsignano is an “Eco-compatible” Winery Estate. All of the energy is provided by solar panels. All the farming is submitted to an Agricultural Quality System Control. For many years, productions were under the "Agroqualità" and since this season, they have came fully under the "biological conversion". 2012 wine will get the organic label. The estate has an extension of 54 acres: woods, vineyards and olive groves.Nearly 24 acres are devoted to the wine production, and 5 acres to the olive oil’s.The vineyards are located 1260 ft. above the sea level. Almost 40.000 bottles are produced annually.

We booked this stay directly on their website as it was cheaper than on booking.com. Good email communication from booking right up to our arrival. Asking for any special requests and advance booking of any activities they offer (wine tasting and cooking courses) We stayed in a Duplex family room which was very nice, had lots of character and was very comfortable. In the living area there was also a kitchenette with a microwave, a cooking hob and large fridge. All fully equipped. The kitchen and fridge is stocked with drinks and wine - all of which is chargeable - even the water! The room bedroom windows had mosquito nets. The downside was there was no air conditioning, leaving any other window or door open was torture from the hungry mosquitos take citronella candles with you and any other protection and Bite relief as nothing is provided to save yourself! August was extremely hot!! There were ceiling fans in both bedrooms but these were noisy and didn’t provide much fanning for any relief from the heat! Reception staff was very good and spoke good English. We met the owners of the Vineyard who were very nice people. The restaurant is down next to the Pool and has lots of character, you can either sit inside or outside under the pergola’s. This is were you have breakfast too. Breakfast is very simple with a typical selection of continental food. We had one evening meal in the restaurant. The menu had a varied but small selection to choose from with a few options available as chef specials. We had wild boar of the specials which was very tasty!! Just be careful as you will be charged for absolutely everything, including a bread basket which we ate from but didn’t request. During our stay we did some wine tasting and had a tour of the distillery. This was given by the owner and was very informative. The wines are all red Chianti’s. The Pool was cool and refreshing as the temperature was 35 degrees during our stay. It would have benefitted from a clean as the trees are close and leaves dropped into the water. Then the final day came and we were asked as a favour to change rooms for a wedding double booking they had made we obliged to be helpful without any compensation and no help to move a family of 4 up a big hill and a lot of steps other than a free bottle of wine! Perhaps a better diary is needed All in all a nice place very nice staff and owners, the place itself in desperate need of air con or a lot more fans and mosquito repellent!

Frattoria di Corsigniano is not just a place... it is much more then that! It was one of the most authentic experiences in Tuscany we had! This place is beautifully situated between olive groves, vineyards and cyprus trees... with a view of Siena! Great food, nice pool area, comfortable apartment, friendly staff.

We stayed for 2 nights and hope to come back sometime for longer. It was all so beautiful and serene! The property is incredibly gorgeous, and we would’ve loved to spend more time outside on the lawn. Our 1-bedroom apartment was clean and updated. We even had a small private yard and covered patio, which we didn’t expect. It was a pleasant surprise. The apartment was a bit rustic (bugs inside and a leaky ceiling) but we would stay again. The bikes we paid to rent were not in good working order, and the provided WiFi password never worked. Other than that, we were very pleased. The food was delicious! Best we’ve had on our whole trip. Mario from the restaurant was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed talking with him and learning about the fattoria from him. I would suggest this place as a good home base in Tuscany for a few days. A family of 4 could’ve lived comfortably in our 1-bed apartment. Maybe rent a car so that you can tour during the day. I suggest buying your own groceries and self catering a couple times if you want to save money. The restaurant is delicious but not affordable for many days in a row. The wine was our favorite we’ve ever had! We will miss this place and hope to come back someday. It was a very special retreat from the tourist crowds.

Dear S4442UEjuliew, Thank you for sharing your nice experience in our winery! We are happy to read that overall you enjoyed your trip at 360°. Fattoria di Corsignano set on a stunning 22 hectares Tuscan Estate, immersed in the Chianti Classico vineyards, only 10 km from Siena. Our four country homesteads have been converted to suites and rooms, recently restored but preserving the pure Tuscan style with terracotta floors, wood beamed ceilings and stone walls. What we wish to propose to our guests is a real, country, rustic and chic atmosphere. For the bikes, it is peculiar, because we do not ask for a rent, as these are free of charge and we ask for a security deposit and specify that are not professional bikes. Today, the whole wine and olive oil’s production is organic and follows a specific philosophy which is to focus on safeguarding the environment and the single person. The winery is proud to be part of a small group of organic producers in the Chianti Classico area. Our restaurant offers typical tuscan food and we strongly believe in the 0 km philosophy, most of our veggies are coltivated in our organic garden that was born in May 2018. Thank you for recomending us and hoping to see you soonest! Fattoria di Corsignano

We recently stayed here for three nights. We ate here on two of those nights. First I was glad we had a good Satnav as I missed the first entrance coming from the Siena direction but it told me there was another slightly further up the road. This is an easier entrance and egress to the first one in the village. Check in was easy, quick and helpful. We were shown our room and how things worked. The room was of a good size and clean. The bed was comfortable and we had restful sleeps!. Bathroom was good but the shower took quite a while to warm up in the morning (we were the only guests on our first night) but fine when going properly. Toiletries are provided which is good to know. Our bedroom view was of Siena about 5 miles away. We had breakfast every morning and it was good and fresh continental type with plenty choice. I didn't get the name of the young lady on duty but she was great, attentive without being on your shoulder. The evening meals we had were very good. IT is a changing menu based on what is available locally. Mario on duty was superb with translations and explanations. As a wine producer the selection is limited to their own products but these are superb (we liked the mid range Classico) and again Mario led us through the options. Service was good (again we were the only party on the first night - three on the second). Note - Restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. We did a wine tasting which was good (Mario again). Lots of information about this small organic (biological) producer and how they fit in with the local production. Oh - and it was good (jury still out on Grappa!!). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it is a great position to explore this part of Italy as Siena is just down the road (Parking San Francesco recommended) and the hill villages only about 30/45 minutes away. Well recommended.

Dear nsander219, Thank you very much for the detailed and attentive review. We are happy to read that overall you had a nice stay at the Fattoria di Corsignano. It is always a pride to know that we have been able to make our Guests happy, starting from the relaxing and comfortable beds (it will have certainly helped to rejuvenate!), to the fresh and plenty breakfast (a good start of a long day) up to the typical tuscan dinner at the restaurant. Today, the whole wine and olive oil’s production is organic and follows a specific philosophy which is to focus on safeguarding the environment and the single person. The winery is proud to be part of a small group of organic producers in the Chianti Classico area. In May 2018, a new synergic and organic vegetable garden has grown, a real small eco-system which requires no treatments, no tractor, no kind of invasive working: the soil regenerates with mulch and the plants themselves. The aim is to produce vegetables with more flavours and energy in order to provide them to Fattoria di Corsignano Restaurant’s guests. We really look forward to welcoming you back soonest! Our best regards, Fattoria di Corsignano
