If what you are looking for is an ideal location close to Palermo airport, then this hotel is ideal, being only 15 minutes away. The rooms are clean and comfortable, there is a convenient self service restaurant where the food is good with an excellent selection. So for a one night stay if you are on the move, this ticks all the boxes. What you may not realise is that the place is a popular holiday hotel for those who seek entertainment. We found the place noisy. An evening drink overlooking the sea was spoilt by some sort of quiz for the benefit of French guests at full volume and later there was loud music audible in our room. If that is what you want, fine, but it was not what we expected. One complaint. It is normal surely to provide guests with drinking water in their room. We asked, but were forced to buy a bottle with plastic cups. They would not even give a glass of water in the bar. A hotel of this nature should surely be doing better on this score.…
We had come to Palermo and found our accommodations quite lacking. Somehow we found Florio Park Hotel and we were so happy. We changed as soon as we came to it. This was not quite so easy because it full tourist season and this place was packed. Somehow the most lovely woman, Carla, found us the three rooms that we needed for our family. Our stay was wonderful. The food was really quite good And the amenities for families were wonderful as well. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool was huge and the daily Activities were wonderful. Absolutely would recommend this place for anyone in Sicily! Beautiful priceless view of the water.
This is an all accommodation hotel. We stayed here because it is close to the Palermo Airport. We came a day early since the traffic in Palermo is terrible. Boy are we glad we did. We had an early morning flight back to London. It is very nice. Clean, great dinner was inclusive and breakfast. They have all kinds of activities on the grounds. Meals were very good. It took about 15 min. to get to the airport. How nice is that. They have a very big pool and the beach is very close. This was recommended to us by a bartender at the our previous hotel.
For us the Florio Park Hotel was a clean, comfortable and highly convenient place to stay on our final night in Sicily, prior to catching an early morning flight out of Palermo. Pluses are its proximity to the airport, (just 12 minutes by car), its secure parking, its huge pool and surrounding sundeck area, and its very reasonable pricing. The minuses for us were the distance of our room from both the hotel reception and from the nearest place at which we could unload and load our car. We had heavy luggage, so that mattered. And secondly the evening dining arrangements. Couples such as ourselves, and also families with young children, seemed to be in the minority. The hotel’s main target market appeared to us to be tour groups of senior citizens from mainland Italy and France. The buffet-style dinner was rather a bun-fight. We enjoyed our brief stay at the Florio Park, even though we found it a rather odd mix of styles, of the contemporary and the dated, and of the friendly and the rather impersonal - a cross between a modern, resort-style hotel complex, and what might best be described as a ‘seaside holiday camp’ for seniors. Despite such shortcomings, we much appreciated the pool and the value, so would happily stay at the Florio Park again.…
Wonderful grounds, beautifully kept. I had a deluxe room with a balcony. The room was slightly outdated but the bath was updated. Service was fine, especially the bartenders who were friendly, kind, and spoke English. The desk people were also kind, some more patient that others. The highlight was the spa where the services were reasonable and wonderful. They were just as good if not better than Elizabeth Arden in the US. The dining options were not the best. The highlight is the gazebo overlooking the water. It was heavenly.
We were expecting a boring airport hotel but were thrilled to find Florio Park Hotel with its pretty beach, pool, and close distance to the airport. We didn't eat at the hotel, and the beds were a little hard, but it's a great find for your last night near Palermo.
Beautiful club hotel located atop a cliff, next to the beautiful city of Terrasini. A private beach, a huge buffet 3 times/day, a helpful staff, and all the bars/night clubs you'll find on the beach (at a walking distance from the hotel) definitely makes the Florio Park Hotel the BEST hotel I've ever been to in Sicilia.
Lovely hotel, helpful staff, the most gorgeous setting on the Mediterranean. 10 minutes or so from the airport. Our stay would have been perfect if the A/C had worked better in our room....otherwise, we had a great experience. Restuarant had a special buffet dinner the night we were there...the food was delicious and bountiful. We didn't use the swimming pool...looked inviting. And the patio outside the bar was a delight. We could watch the sunset and see the planes coming in to land. Magical.
We selected this place for an overnight before flying out of Palermo. We chose it because it is located at the end of the runway. However, the taxi to and from the airport cost 45 and 40 euros which was the same cost as the hotel. There is no airport shuttle except these private taxis. You're stuck. Nevertheless, the hotel was spacious, comfortable and with lovely outdoor areas. Although we didn't use the facilities, it would probably be good for families.
This hotel was recommended by relatives living in Terrasini and we were not disappointed. It is a short €30 transfer from the Palermo airport and a 15 minute walk to the Terrasini waterfront. Nice pool, air conditioned rooms, and helpful staff made it a good place to relax. The activities staff, however, did everything in their power to get you up and dancing, swimming, playing, or exercising - which what made it feel more like a cruise ship than a beachfront resort. The hotel is high on a cliff above the Med and about level with the end of the runway, so getting to and from the beach required quite a few steps - but the pool was enough to keep our group cool so we didn't try the sand. During our stay (mid-September) there were mostly French guests and few Americans, although we met plenty in Town. Nonetheless, all of the staff spoke English and we had no difficulties communicating our needs. We recommend it if you are looking for modern accommodations in the Terrasini area.…
