We stayed at this wonderful B and B for the sixth time in the last few years. It is always the highlight of our trip. The facilities are immaculate with the highest attention to detail, and the B and B is run with love seldom seen. The breakfast prepared by Graziella are out of this world with the highlight being ( in addition to the charming hostess) the 20 + flavours of marmalade made by hand from the fruits of their own garden. The owners are an exceptionally loving and sincere Sicilian family. The location is magnificent, with Etna in the background and the impressive lava stone coast just meters away from the door. Popular destinations like Taormina, Catania, or Syracusa are quite nearby, so there is the best of both worlds, the beauties of the beach and the comforts of the city within a few minutes drive. The whole region is situated in the lemon orchards on the foot of the volcano, and the stay will be one which will last in your memories a lifetime. Advice: book as soon as possible, because for the quality with the low price in that region, the rooms are nearly always fully booked..…
The premises are very clean and it feels like you are at home. The owner Grazziella was very helpful and very welcoming. The breakfast was superb with fresh bread and homemade jams and marmalade. Room was air conditioned and comfortable for the summer heat. Parking in front of the BB was difficult but the owner had reserved a parking slot for us. There is also a street close to the seashore only about 3 min walk good for parking.
Nicely situated in Santa Tecla, the B&B is clean and cozy and Graziella the host is wonderful. We spent two nights and from there went snow hiking on Etna (40m drive to Piano Provenzana) and fishing nearby. Great breakfast, including delicious bread, home made cake and jams, freshly tarocco orange juice. Kids were happy as well.
I stayed here with my parents and it was one of the highlights of the trip! Santa Tecla is so beautiful and so close La Scala for fresh seafood. Amazing setting, good wifi, clean beds, comfy beds and a really welcoming host! The breakfast is delicious- we got to choose between 32 different flavours of.homemade jam from the garden. Superb, really exceptional. Merci à vous
My husband and I stayed in this B&B for four nights. While this is a charming, clean and spacious room(pink room), it is a bit difficult to get to and from if you are touring areas like Etna and Siracusa because of the long windy road up and down the hill. It's perfect if you are staying local for awhile. The breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, juice, coffee, cakes, bread, yogurt and homemade jams. The owner, Graziela and her sons, were gracious and accommodating. They made us feel like family, but not intrusive. The wifi does not work in the rooms but in the nearby courtyard and kitchen. This is an excellent value for the price, especially for families or a group.
Santa Tecla is not on the list of 'must sees' but was a warm and welcoming spot to spend two nights after the hustle and bustle of sight seeing in big towns. The room at the B&B was large, clean and comfortably furnished. We were able to park outside -after negotiating the one way system in a small village! Graziella is a friendly and enthusiastic hostess. The village boasts two great fish restaurants Il Barone and Da Leonardo. Graziella was able to give us clear instructions on how to get to and park in Taormina. Best part was being able to practise my poor Italian! Breakfast was delightful - try the home made yogurt preserves. Last, but not least, comfortable beds.
This is surely one of the best run, cleanest and best functioning B and B s in Sicily. Graziella is a magnificent hostess with a passion and talent for welcoming guests. This was our 3 rd trip in 6 years, and no trip to Sicily would be complete without a stay at this very special B and B. Graziella and her family go above and beyond to show their guests the true Sicilian hospitality. It becomes immediately clear that her warm welcome is from the heart. Breakfast is amazing!!! Here, no less that 32 different jams are presented, all homemade from a vast variety of mediterranean fruits and produce of their family garden( Figs, Lemons, Kumquats, to Eggplant Pistachio and the list goes on) Additionally, a freshly baked sicilian cake is often served. Not only is everything organically prepared, but also environmentally friendly discarded. The rooms are impeccable, beautifully furnished with stylistic turn of the century furniture and fixtures, and the court yard attest to the utmost attention to detail and order. From the courtyard one can also see the smoke rising from Etna. Santa Tecla is a magical village situated directly on the coast with scents of Lemon from the orchards. The coast is formed from the massive lava stones spewed centuries ago from Etna. It is perfectly placed for day trips in the Catania Region, perfectly positioned for visiting Taomina/Castelmola, Etna, and Catania city. In only 5 minutes by car one can reach the beautiful little city of Acireale. In authentic fashion, the language is Italian. However, Graziella's son Fabio, an academic at the University of Catania, speaks an impeccable English, so that guest conversing in English feel equally at home This B and B was perfectly situated, with excellent service at a very modest price. Highest recommendation for anyone wishing a true Sicilian experience!!! Craig H…
We very much enjoyed our stay with Graziella in this b & b. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious and everything was done to make us feel at home. The village is quiet but Graziella explained where we could eat or get food to bring back to the house. We were encouraged to use the kitchen. Breakfast, with lovely home-made cake/pastries, was always excellent. Parking was easy and this place is well-situated for Etna trips, travel to Taormina and Castelmola, etc. Thank you Graziella for looking after us so well.
We really couldn't have asked for a more friendly welcome. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, although not modernly decorated. We were given good information regarding access to Etna and a good recommendation for a restaurant in the village. It was nice to spend some quiet time away from the busier towns and cities. Breakfast really was very special, with a selection of homemade jams, cake and granita on offer. Highly recommended.
It's a nice place with a friendly and kind host. We were 6 persons and had a nice stay here. A good thing was the convenience that we were able to park the cars just outside the house. Graciela and here son was very helpful with tips on places to visit.
