In a strategic point of Salento, 8km far from Lecce, B&B Villa delle Palme offers all the advantages of proximity to the city while ensuring the tranquillity you can only find in the countryside. 4 Hectares of olive grove, with many garden and fruit trees typical of the mediterranean maquis, include a pinewood to to use for barbecue and a kindergarden. Built in the beginning of the 1900s, our B&B is the typical masseria once used only as a holiday house in the summer. Recently renovated it is a comfortable home for our family and guests all the year. The rooms are cozy and well equipped, each with private bathroom, air conditioning and T V. You can park in security into the garden.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Villa delle Palme. The Villa is beautiful with Olive trees, a playground and a wonderful, large pool. The safe, gated villa is peaceful and relaxing and within a short drive to lovely Mediterranean beaches. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well kept, each with it's own private bathroom. The food was delicious and abundant. Giuseppe & Nicole are the very gracious and generous hosts with a wealth of information about the area for sight seeing and exploring. Both speak English very well. I stayed two nights and I look forward to returning.

We stayed for two days at Villa delle Palme while exploring Salento. Giuseppe and his family were an incredibly kind hosts - they offered up their family made wine, delicious breakfasts and insights to the Salento beaches at no charge. The room we stayed in was very large (with a very high celiing) and spotless. The bathroom was the same with a wonderful window that brought in the sunset perfectly as you cleaned off from a day at the beach. They are right off a main road that's a short drive to Lecce (about 10 minutes). There is no pool, so you would use this location as a base to go to the beaches and to Lecce, and more or less just sleep at the B&B itself, which is exactly what we did and had a lovely experience doing it.

A must for those who wish to visit Lecce, only 5 minutes drive from Lecce in rural setting. A very friendly host, who (due to late flight to Brindisi) to 11.45 pm waited and received us with a glass (homemade) wine. Breakfast consisted of delicious homemade bread and various homemade jams. The rooms are very clean and all amenities. Also a nice terrace where you can enjoy breakfast, overlooking the olive trees Do not hesitate, just book this very nice B&B.

Three days before my arrival in Lecce, my original lodging plans fell through. I contacted Nicole & Giuseppe in desperation, and they came through beautifully! Within a few hours of sending my request, they confirmed availability and set my mind at ease. And when I arrived at their place (after a VERY long day of travel), I could not have felt more welcome. The room I was given was big and comfortable: it had a very comfortable bed and a private bath. The weather was a bit chilly at night, and when I let Giuseppe know that I was cold, he gave me the control for the heater and I was toasty in about 5 minutes! What surprised me the most was how little street noise I could hear from my room, which was at the front of the house. When you see the location on the map, it appears to be on a major road (which is incredibly convenient, by the way). But the place was quiet. And the new building, which has several more rooms, is even farther from the street so it's bound to be just as lovely. Breakfast was wonderful, and I can't say enough good things about the service: Everyone in the family went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I really wished my stay had been longer, and I am already making plans to come back later in the year. It's really the perfect location from which to explore the coastal towns and Lecce itself--which I could not get enough of. And, I have to admit, when I just wanted some quiet time it was a pleasure just sitting on the B&B's terrace playing with the cats. I've stayed in lots of B&Bs in Italy, and I was seriously impressed by the service at Villa delle Palme. I'll be back, and will bring my friends!

I've just come back from Villa delle Palme and I have to stay that we had a fantastic holiday. This B&B is wonderful. It was spotless, good air conditioning, great breakfasts (a different homemade cake freshly made every morning), parking and above all, the family that run it are so lovely and friendly. The location is perfect too, close to the motorway taking you to the most amazing beaches ever. We'll be going back next year for sure.
