This large complex has a fine swimming pool, good restaurant and some of the rooms are located in an ancient Trullo. These last ones are very nice. Large and with all required things you need in a room. The complex is isolated so you eed a car. There are some other good restaurants close by.
What a lovely place to stay in the beautiful countryside of Puglia. The hotel is situated in the countryside - idyllic. We went there in a large group of people so our transport was provided. Therefore, if you are travelling alone/small group, you will probably need a car of your own. Nonetheless, it is highly recommended you stay at this Hotel. The staff are extremely obliging. The breakfasts are amazing; so is dinner. It is an ideal spot for a wedding reception, large function etc. Grazie mille tutti.
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxed place to stay then this unique hotel would fit the bill....having said that, we stayed mid-week and there were no wedding parties. The site is spread out with rooms in different buildings so there is a walk between room, restaurant, reception, bar and swimming pool which are all in different locations. Anyone with mobility problems was ferried about by staff in a golf buggy. There are two restaurants and we ate in both. Breakfasts were good - a plentiful array of the usual fare plus a good egg station for freshly prepared omelettes or fried eggs and really lovely pastries. Dinner the first night was tasty but portions were a bit on the small side. The second night we ate in the restaurant which is situated in the trulli houses, this was lovely and the portions far better. The wine list is reasonable and not silly money. An early morning walk round the site is worth doing with the soft sunlight filtering through the trees and the only thing you can hear is birdsong. The pool is large and there is a bar open till 6pm. This brings me to my only negative comment - the evening bar is next to reception and the larger part of the seating is outdoor which is ok if the weather is good...if it rains they take all the cushions in and then it,s a very small indoor bar. There did not appear to be regular bar staff - either someone came from reception or waiting staff were sent once they'd finished in the restaurant. Given this hotel is miles from anywhere, it meant a post dinner drink was haphazard. Not the staff's fault as they were all very polite and helpful. Overall, a lovely place to stay.…
So the good points; All staff friendly and professional, Antonio and Antonio were great in the restaurant Rooms large, clean cotton sheets, white fluffy towels, powerful hot water, comfy bed, cleaned every day Beautiful grounds with good lighting and seating Excellent venue for weddings The bad points; No good if you are vegetarian on half board - every night 2 starter choices were pasta and 2 mains were fish or meat (lots of) .. no salad and little veg Showering is hopeless without flooding whole of room as it is a powerful spray with a curtain and you have to hold shower head which is awkward.. it need a wall put in Yes there is a wedding every day and noise was an issue on a couple of occasions depending on where the music is coming from (til 2am) Would of been nice to have a sunbed by room Uk plug adapters useless here - saved by GHD plugs and usb point! Could not use pool when we arrived as totally covered in moss. There was an attempt to clean this a few days later but it put us off going in..this was mentioned in another post Safe in room did not work..this was mentioned in another post so we didnt report There are a couple of shops and bars about a mile away but you really do not have access without your own transport to any other sights such as Zoosafari .. taxi would be 90 euros.. hotel didnt seem to offer any excursions when asked and Tui cancelled one of our trips So it was ok but if a few improvements were made it would of been great for me.…
What an amazing place this is. It’s location is just beautiful. Spread out in the Puglia countryside. The rooms are in amongst the trees. Well equipped large rooms with tea and coffee making facilities, comfortable beds and lovely decor. Many of the hotel buildings are based on the typical Puglia Trulli’s which are just stunning. There’s a large well kept swimming pool and pool bar towards the bottom of the site. Now the problem, this is a wedding venue of par excellence. As such during the spring, summer and early Autumn there is at least one wedding taking place most days. So the noise can be horrendous, often going on until three am or later. The hotel management have absolutely no regard for those guests who want a good nights sleep. So be aware if your not at one of the wedding receptions. Many in our group had little sleep for all three nights we stayed. Breakfasts very good with a large selection of cold foods. …
