#18 of 126 B&Bs / Inns in Monopoli
Today, the resort looks like a farm in the vineyard. The vineyard that embraces the resort gives the Baresana and primitive grapes. The farm is made of 11 trulli, which house today elegant suites and that, leaned one against the other, give the structure the sensation of being in a small village, a theatre set in the Mediterranean countryside. A mandarin, lemon, plum, pear, cherry orchard and a vegetable garden with vegetables typical of this land complete this marvellous scenario. On the background, an old oak tree casts shadows by the poolside.

We spent 4 nights at the masseria and it’s one of the most beautiful places we stayed in (and we are picky) . First the location is very convenient, 20/25mn from all the villages and sights. The Masseria is located in a very quiet and peaceful area, amongst olive trees and wheat fields. As soon as you arrive you feel the serenity of the place. It has its own veggie garden (guests are welcome to pick and eat ) and vineyard. The swimming pool is big with a wonderful view and from there you can watch the sunset while drinking a cocktail. One of the great advantages is that you can have dinner there. The food is delicious (4 course meal) and showcases their own fruits & vegetables. Most of the rooms are in trulli , décoration is elegant, feels luxurious and comfortable ; we stayed in one of the suites and loved it. Finally, service is excellent, everybody was so nice, we met the owner who was making the effort of talking to all his guests, which we really appreciated. Shame we did not stay longer.

We stayed at Nina’s for two nights with our two year old son. Whilst it’s generally more a couples place, we felt at home and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Our son loved walking and exploring. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. The pool area is fantastic and of course, the star of the show are the beautifully restored Trulli houses. Luxury feel yet so different. The food is also excellent and enjoyed all two dinners from locally grown produce including from their very own garden patch. Highly recommend this hotel... a real gem!

Spent 1 night here during a long weekend in the south of Italy and had the pleasure to have dinner with the host and hostess of the resort so we got to know a bit the restoration history and everything that went along with it. Great stories. Tranquile atmosphere. Must say we both enjoyed the place (too short), the hospitality and the great kitchen. Congrats I would say. Very enjoyable.

Nina Trulli is simply beautiful. The Trulli houses feel so peaceful and are beautifully restored. The pool area is lovely and so is the breakfast/dinner common area. We loved the interiors and staff were extremely friendly. T he food was delicious too and we enjoyed our cooking class; however - as some others have pointed out here, dinner is very inflexible. There are no choices, you just get served what the chef is making and if you have intolerances or don't eat something, good luck to you...! You won't be accommodated. For a resort at that price, I expect some more flexibility. You should be able to order a simple dinner (pasta, salad etc.) if you don't want the full 4 course meal.
