We stayed for 3 nights, and it was perfect. The staff was so accommodating and professional. My husband travels with his special tea and the breakfast team made sure that they had it made for him. We truly appreciated their thoughtfulness. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone. The landscape and entrance door really sets the stage for a beautiful resort. You will feel very relaxed and stress free. We were very close to Sparta. The rooms were updated, and the shower pressure was excellent. You will feel very pampered. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so perfect.
Just spent a wonderful 5 days here for the Easter Weekend. The service was exceptional starting with Amanda at the front Desk who brings a more Westernized approach and reality to The still Nascent tourism of SPARTI . As I have said many times in regards to 5 Stat Hotels , the proof of their worthiness , is in how they handle mistakes , that unfortunately are always made . There was a slight mistake that was rectified by Amanda with the professionalism this Hotel deserves . Vasiliki was also extremely healthful through your stay . A shout out to Vasili the Portier for his Smiling attention to us thru the check ins and outs . The wait staff at the breakfast were spectacular. Also the Food served at the midnight meal and Sunday Pool Buffet was really superb . I have probably forgotten the names of Staff that were also excellent . If time allows , I will return in the next week to enjoy the relaxing Holistically Healthy environment this Wonderful Hotel provides !…
Superb hotel, helpful and polite staff, excellent food, elegant rooms surrounded by olive trees. We appreciated the amazing views on Mystras castle on the slopes of Taygetos Mountain. Quiet, relaxing place. Great location for visiting Mystras.
Firstly, the personnel is very kind and helpful, always there to make the guests feel like kings. Secondly, the food in the hotel’s restaurants is absolutely great! The rooms are small houses, beautifully placed and very clean. Four tennis courts, nice gym.
All in all a wonderful hotel, where the location and the restaurant stand out. However 1: During the booking process we were not informed that the indoor pool, Jaccuzzi and spa facilities had been outsourced to another company and therefore its usage was subject to a significant additional charge. Our complaint was handled professionally though and we were in the end allowed to use the Jaccuzzi for an hour per day at no cost. Just be aware of this when making any booking! However 2: The weakest point of this hotel is the bar staff. Not only lack some of them even basic command of the english language, but twice we had to wait for more than 30 minutes to receive our pre-dinner drinks.
We both wanted to visit the ruins and hike in the area but were also looking for a little rest after the rush of Athens, the Mystras Grand Palace was perfect. Only a few years old yet carefully blended into the ancient olive grove on the property and echoing the architecture of Mystras, this is the perfect combination of new and old. The property is set up with little duplex cottages with sitting areas or balconies set among the olive trees. The grounds are very pretty and so peaceful. Comfortable beds, delicious food, and a staff that went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating! They seemed to really care that we were well taken care of and satisfied. We spent two nights here and would have happily added a third. After an excellent breakfast we were the first ones on the ruins and were delighted to come back and cool our feet in the chilly pool just as the tour buses started to roll in at lunchtime. Hiking in the area was spectacular though be warned that an “easy” hike here means a narrow trail with loose rocks hanging over a gorge. No guardrails and very steep drops so not for those who fear heights or have any mobility issues. That said one of the loveliest hikes I have ever done. The resort does offer bikes so you can also pedal around the olive groves or to the town of Mystras but have at least one dinner at the resort as the food was better there than the restaurants in town. Only regret was not trying the spa.…
Stayed here as part of a cycling tour. Our room overlooked the second pool, was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was continental with lots of choices, all delicious. Staff was attentive, the grounds were beautiful, and the resort isn't far from Mystras. Great location and beautiful place to stay.
I have to admit that this place majes a great impression right from the beginning. The gardens, the entrance, the buildings and the pools, everything looks perfect. I understand that part of the buildings are newly renovated, as the building we stayed. The furniture is new, bathroom very good. The only negative- the matress. Coco-mat, I know that is expensive and I suppose that the hotel had good intensions but....impossible to sleep on this, it gives zero support to the back! The other negative: the lack of privacy. The room was facing the pool so I could not opennthe door in order to get fresh air because everyone could look inside. Maybe a room in an other building or at the first floor could make it better for us.
What makes this resort special, apart from the uplifting view of the Mystras site and the Parori gorge are the staff. You are all so kind, well educated, fresh and able to help. Such an asset for the resort. Letting us book in early due to our ferry to Gythio being brought forward was a great support. The beds are very comfy but the pillows are very high so we'll bring our own next time. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good choice and the selection of wines in the restaurant was excellent. The treatment in the spa was very good too. Would be good if something in the indoor spa could be included with the room charge. Also will be good when kettles are allowed in the rooms again. (Removed for covid standards). Thank you - our stay was a wonderful relaxing end to our trip to Kythira.…
Super hotel. Attentive staff. Beautiful rooms and carefully decorated hotel all over. The beds are heavenly (very different from the usual hard mattresses in greec hotels. There are several nice pools. And the restaurants are very good. As is the breakfast. If you have the change. Choose this hotel.
