Cleanliness first, in the middle of a pandemic Sonia Resort is totally prepared to receive guests with total security. We are very happy with the choice of this hotel, new installations great decoration, the manager Georgia and her husband are very kind and friendly, always smiling and open to suggestions for improvements. The staff is also very friendly, especially to children. We had a relaxing feeling of being at home, the kids loved it and they would love to come back in the future. The food was fantastic, great variety, fresh fruits, incredible salads, beautiful and tasty desserts. The room is very beautiful nicely decorated, including a nespresso, fridge with water and a beer. We arrived very late at night when the bar&restaurant were of course closed, but it was wonderful after a long trip to have a welcome wine and sandwiches&fries in the room, a detail that we loved, very kind extra service! We loved the beach, crystal clear and nice warm water, lots of fishes to admire, great for children and adults, beautiful sunset! We loved our stay, for sure a place to return !!! Thank you to everyone at Sônia Resort!

We spent a 10 day holiday at this resport, end September/Early October 2019. Bedroom fine, food, good for first 5 days, then became poor quality international type food. Biggest complaint was watering down of alcholic drinks. When confronted with this, action was to bring good balentines whisky but then repeat the watering down, German couples who we became friendly with, also complsained that often their cocktail drinks lacked alchol. One excuse put forward was they did not want people to get drunk. A very disgraceful statement by food and beverage manager, considering we were booked all-inclusive, and the watering down started after 2 drinks. Submitting a written complaint i was accused of being a troublemaker.

Just got back from the Sonia. Overall really great just a few personal niggles. We arrived late, was shown to our room. Asked if we could grab a drink from the bar. Told no,, nothing open now,, there’s sandwiches, wine, water in the rooms therefore See you in the morning. Had just spent a long day travelling & would of liked to have wind down in the bar & not made to go to bed. Also meat sandwiches provided & I’m vegetarian. Sad that they assumed what guests would like to eat (though I suppose a nice touch to provide something at all). The beach & charging for the first two rows of sun loungers. Seemed very pointless as some of the guests just grabbed other sun loungers & put them in front of the ones you have to pay for. Nobody sat in them for the whole week. The gym was good but too compact. Either make it bigger or get rid of a machine. No air con which was awful and made even worse when there was several guests in it. No water, or hand sanitizer & the Bin wasn't emptied all week!! The cats made me real sad. They were all hungry so a lot of us were feeding them. I went & bought some cat biscuits. Every day more cats appeared & by the end of the week there was kittens too. I was told the family look after them but I wasn’t sure if I was being fobbed off. If you are pls spay or neuter them. Food amazing. Greek salad & yogurt simply the best. Waitress’s in dining room & bar were pleasant. Animation team worked extremely hard, encouraging guests to join in with quizzes/karaoke/yoga/volleyball etc. Rooms adequate & clean. Fresh towels daily. Views awesome. All in all would recommend the Sonia.

We went to Sonia Resort in Gerakini in September 2019. It was wonderful, honestly. + : Very friendly and caring staff, always smiling & knowing you and your habits easily, even though you are shy and don't really talk to them; Magnificient views and landscapes, no crowd on the beaches near the resort, perfect if you want to relax!; The food was excellent and not repetitive. I really enjoyed eating there and was surprised!; Rooms cleaned every day and modern. - : Nothing to do in the area, however you can still rent a car or book an excursion in more or less close places. For example we went to Ammouliani for a day. But it's really calm in Gerakini, it's great if you want to relax, but not really if you wanna go out with friends. :) However, one of my best holidays so far. Thanks to the amazing staff !
