I have had one of my best holidays at the Estelle hotel. This is a family-owned property, very clean, with good location near the beach, great food and its own parking space. There is a nice garden just behind the hotel, and the fruit and vegetables grown in it are offered in the restaurant. The owners and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Gerakini is the perfect place to have a calm and relaxing holiday.

Very clean hotel. Nice new furniture. Sheet and towel change every second day. 20 m away from the beach. Extremely kind, helpful and still unobtrusive staff and owners. Beautiful garden. Excellent food. Relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend.

If you expect to find a gem at a bargain; no such thing. It's cheap and so much you get. The owners are very friendly and their parents help with great enthusiasm. Also I can say that the place is clean and the chef cooks a good meal. Nothing fancy, nothing magic.

The reality is that the village itself is ramshackle glory, the hotel is second row and has no visual connection to the sea whatsoever. The pretty thing about the hotel is the two old trees in front of it. The room we had, had a 140cm bed - for 2 people, that is. All night I wondered how the overweight couples would manage with such ordeal. At arrival I noticed some of our fellow guests were on the heavy side. That's why.

We didn't sleep much. The blanket didn't help either. It smelled of wet dog. If you plan to watch TV; bring binoculars. Furniture in the room is basic but adequate. Bathroom very simple, but clean. Shower is mini. The type with the shower curtain that will hug you when you shower. Nowhere to hang up the shower-end, so you will be holding the shower with 1 hand and washing yourself with the other.

At arrival we were welcomed by the chef, award winning, according to the web site of the hotel. He was very friendly and gave us some tips of where to go and what to see. That was nice. What was not so nice is that he told us that the restaurant opens at 15.30 for lunch. We were happy we had already eaten that afternoon. The same evening we had dinner in the restaurant. Fish from the grill and a salad. Was ok. Nothing fancy, but honest food. The other tables ate eggplant with minced meat. Looked good.

Breakfast the other day was budget. Starts at 8 at the earliest. One hour too late, in my opinion. Especially when you have small kids. Coffee was very bad. Nescafe machine. Should put a ban on them. Orange juice from the can with too much sugar. Eggs, bread and some fruit. Margerine and jam from small plastic cups.

We booked for 7 days after hot recommendation by a friend, but decided to leave. The owner was surprised because we were the first customers that told him that we didn't like his place in the 10 years of its existence. He proudly tapped his tripadvisor and booking.com awards which are on display on the front desk. Only happy customers, you know.

I'm pissed off, because I was misinformed.
By the hotel website and by all the reviews.

It is the third year we’ve spent a 7 days holyday at Hotel Estelle in Gerakini and we definitely encourage you to try this experience. Once you arrive at Estelle and you are received by the two brothers Iannis and Emmanuel and by their parents you became one of the family and you are treated as such. The hotel is very clean and cozy and the meals at Cook Art restaurant managed by chef Emmanuel have a special flavor- natural ingredients from their own garden and special Greek dishes every day. Thanks to our hosts, to the location, to the Greek landscape, water and sun (this location is known as one with the most sunny days /year in Halkidiki region), we’ve had a beautiful holiday, thus we warmly recommend you to try Estelle experience.

This is a nice & very clean family-owned hotel with own parking space, close to the beach. The food is absolutely perfect, very tasty & various, the chef is a "magician" :) .
The owners and the staff are very friendly & helpful. It`s the perfect place for a pleasant & relaxing holiday for both couples & families with children.
I would highly recommend this place for everyone.

We visited Hotel Estelle last summer and this summer. It has become like our second home. The owners, family Stratos, and their friends/employees, are SO friendly and nice. The food is also delicious. You will reach the beach easily, because it`s right across the street, sandy and beautiful. The village of Gerakini is a charming and a cozy place to relax with your family, friends, as a couple or with your wife/husband. Have your morning walk along the sandy beach, swim while the water is so still before 12. Have lunch either at the beach the greek way, or go to one of the tavernas in the street of Gerakini. A relaxed and peaceful atmosphere all around. Sitting on the balcony at night listening to the families and children talking and playing gives you a wonderful summer feeling for real. Can`t wait to come back! Hanne and Tom

Second consecutive year at Hotel Estelle in Gerakini and the same wonderful experience for us and our friends. The hosts Yannis and Manolis make you feel like you are at home which makes the holidays even more enjoyable.
Hotel is very well located, 50m from the beach, very close to restaurants and also in a good position for travelliing to other beautiful places and beaches in Halkidiki. Rooms are not very big, but they are cosy and extremely clean. Towels and sheets are changed every 3 days.
Would recommend it especially for families with children.

It was our first vacation in that part of Greece and we really liked it.
Hotel Estelle is a family hotel, but still suitable for young couples and friends as well. Rooms are clean, hotel is 50 m from the beach, nice and different breakfast every day. Private parking for hotel guests as well.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and always try to make feel like home. They gave us trip advises, so if the weather is bad or you don't want to stay on the beach there is still a lot to do and see.
We've spent a week in the beginning of September'11 and will definitely do it again.
Overall an excellent place to be!

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side of the hotel are quieter. Overall is a family hotel perfect for real relax.
