Absolutely superb! This is one of the most beautiful and relaxing hotels we have ever stayed in! Don’t miss it! It is a boutique, adult only hotel - small, intimate and unbelievably relaxing. The view over Petani Bay takes your breath away. The spectacular infinity pool which overlooks the bay provides the most incredible panorama. The photos don’t quite capture the stunning beauty not only of the views but the hotel itself. Facing west, you will not enjoy a better sunset anywhere in the world. The hotel has been meticulously designed and planned by its charming and charismatic owner, Giannis, and no detail has been overlooked. Everything is perfect and each bedroom has a spectacular balcony looking west. The staff are all brilliant; breakfast is amazing and the lovely Veula runs the hotel with grace, charm and precision. Last but not least, the peace and “vibe” could not be more relaxing. You simply don’t want to leave.…
Amazing experience from the check in all the way to check out. The hotel is run by a couple. They know how to treat guest. The will be there to welcome you every morning for breakfast and every evening for dinner. The staff is out of this world. Excellent customer service!!! And the sunset views spectacular!!!! We definitely are coming back!!!!
So we arrive at the Petani Bay Hotel for the third time, confident we know pretty much all there is to know about the hotel and area. But surprise surprise"meet me in reception 6am was the order from the owner Yannis on our second evening. We are going fishing!!! 6am a quick coffee and down to Petani beach.Crewman George swims out and brings the boat in.Captain Yannis cries "all aboard"and we are off to his favourite fishing spot. That evening George prepares a wonderful meal of salads, freshly baked bread, the catch of the day (6 good size fish) and fresh vegetables from the hotel garden. The unexpected start to the best holiday ever. My wife and I cannot praise Yannis and his wife Youla enough !!! Robert and Jackie
We have just spent the most amazing week at the Petani Bay Hotel. Our stay was perfect From the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The hotel encapsulates paradise with its tranquility, breathtaking sunset views over the bay, landscaped grounds with rose bushes in bloom to its sublime ability to calm and relax you within minutes of crossing its threshold. The hotel team's commitment to making every part of our stay a truly special one was was undeniable and with genuine sincerity. We will forever be grateful to them for making our stay one we will cherish forever. We can't wait to return xx
The Petani Bay Hotel has a great location with direct views over Petani beach, which is stunning. The team at the hotel are very friendly, the service is attentive and the facilities are kept at a very high standard. We enjoyed the pool-side bar, the comfortable beds next to the poo and the and the service from the bar team (George in particular). Go to Kefalonia to enjoy the tranquillity of the island, the yummy Greek food and the amazing beaches such as Myrtos Beach and Zola beach which are not far away from Petani. This was our second visit to Kefalonia and we look forward to our next time.
We stayed here for a few nights, the hotel ambience (tranquil and calm) is outstanding, the views of the rather special Petani Bay are gorgeous, the pool area with its bar, loungers, shaded areas and tranquillity are lovely. The light snacks and drinks menu is good. A very special place to enjoy a drink while watching the sunset. Breakfast is excellent with a great range of food and excellent very covid secure service. I am sure there are lovely rooms in the hotel, our room was spotless and well equipped (there is a small fridge & sink, not really set up for cooking, maybe to prepare a sandwich and keep your water cold) it was very dark so if you can go for the higher rooms with a balcony and full sea view that would be better. We did book last minute. There was lots of help from friendly staff with ideas of where to visit and eat. There is no evening meals available here which was a shame.…
Beautiful, peaceful location, amazing staff. Most amazing view we have ever seen. Nothing too much trouble & welcomed start to finish. If you like quality, small hotel & quiet beautiful area this is for you. Big thanks to all Petani Bay team
We‘ve just returned from our one-week stay at Petani Bay Hotel and we already miss it! Our stay couldn‘t have been more perfect - the location of the hotel is superb, the pool is one of the most beautiful we‘ve ever seen and I think this is the first hotel which looks even nicer in real life than it does in all the pictures on the Internet. We also loved breakfast, where the selection of home-made dishes offered varied every single day. Moreover, the staff, the hotel owners and their absolutely adorable Cocker Spaniel Sandi (hope I spelt it correctly) made us feel so welcome and did everything they could to make our stay perfect. THANKS again to everybody - you are the best!!
We loved our 4 night stay at the Petani Bay hotel. The hospitality was the best we had on the Island (which in general was very welcoming anyway, so that's really saying a lot!). The sunset views were incredible in a very relaxing setting. Outstanding cocktails. Delicious homemade food. All in all a fantastic little spot, we'll definitely be back. There are, however, a couple of things I'd wish I'd known before going: given the COVID situation, the staff are being *very* cautious. I do not mean this as a criticism as it's absolutely right they want to take precautions but it didn't impact our stay in ways we would have planned differently for, had we known. - The normal restaurant is not open in the evening and there are only light appetisers. Whilst very delicious, there was not enough variety to go every night. - There are also no restaurants within walking distance (the close one on google maps is closed this Summer) and all but 2 (on the beach, didn't like the one we went to) are 10+ minutes drive away. - There is zero kitchen equipment, so we couldn't even prep our own food in the kitchen and no food from the hotel was allowed to be taken back to the rooms so we couldn't save lunch for dinner. - No kitchen equipment in the room means no wine glasses/bottle opener, so bring your own! All in all, this made meal planning a bit stressful, but this was the only downer of the stay.…
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful and the views of the Petani Bay are stunning. The staff and the owners looked after us so well. We absolutely loved the dog as well.
