Fixing us a COVID test, offering us welcome drinks, facilitating anything we could ask for; from tennis rackets to a beach umbrellas and honest recommendations for stuff to visit (and what to avoid). A great pleasure to stay at Terra Mare with such an amazing, warm and caring host.

The hotel itself is really nice. A 25 meters long, clean, warm pool offers a great view over the end of the bay. Plenty of space to swim seriously, or play with your kids.
The rooms are impeccable, the cleaning service is diligently and done daily. There is a magnificent AC that will keep you cool and allow you to sleep if you are not a fan of sleeping in 26+ degrees at night in the summer.
Parking spots always available, and the hotel is within close proximity to Lixouri (5 mins by car) where you can find anything you need and a great selection of restaurants.
The hotel is ideally placed: about 30 mins from all the major beaches you want to visit while on the island. There are also much less tourists staying in Lixouri than the rest of the island.

This hotel is located on the outskirts of Lixouri, in a beautiful location overlooking the stunning mountains and the beautiful Ionian sea which boast all the shades of blue you can ever imagine. The rooms are spacious, very clean, the bed just amazing. The hotel has a large, great pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The on-site restaurant serves amazing food, the portions are huge! Breakfast is tasty and fresh and there is plenty of options on offer. Nicos and his staff always serve you with a smile, we feel spoilt! Great people. I don’t drive in Europe but we walked to the centre today, it took us about 45 minutes. If you drive there is a plenty of parking available. This hotel offers amazing price-quality ratio and deserves more than 2 stars. If you are looking for a place where you can truly relax, but also not far from town or local attractions (Xi Beach and Petani beach are within 10 km) come to Terra Mare - you will have a great time here! My daughter and I love this place.

Had a lovely time at this wonderful hotel, food aplenty and clean rooms. More of a rustic vibe which we were more than happy with. Big clean pool that was empty most of the time, although this was due to the hotel not being particularly busy due to corona. Located a bit out in the sticks so we had to get several taxis into lixouri and other places which Nico was more than helpful with. I think I'd be brave and hire a car if we went again. Upon arrival to the island we got a taxi from the airport but I would suggest getting a bus from the airport to argostoli port and the ferry over to lixouri which is cheaper. We did this to get to the airport to go home. Would definately stay again, Nico is so nice and welcoming.

Me and my husband just returned from a 7 nights stay at Terra Mare and we will definitely be back! . The hotel is simple but with spacious rooms, great aircon and a massive swimming pool with perfect water temperature. Nikos and his family made our stay better than ever expected. Nothing is too much trouble for Nikos, he will do anything you ask or need to make your stay perfect. We were absolutely spoiled and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

We had a wonderful vacation in this hotel and we’ll definitely come back again. The host is amazing, very warm and always trying to help. Really any help we asked Nikos for, he would go and find a way to help us - covid test, boat renting, you name it. This is a family business and it feels like you are part of the family. We eat dinner here every day as the food is super delicious and much cheaper than in other places - highly recommend you eat here! The rooms are very clean and cozy, with cleaning service every day. The pool is very big and clean with a great view. Couldn’t wish for more from our holiday accomodation.

I've come to Greece many times over the years, but this is my favorite place to stay and my favorite island. Terra Mare Resort is "simple luxury" with an owner (Nicos) who cares. The large property has trees full of oranges, lemons and loquats, an amazing pool and overlooks beautiful Livadi Bay. Lixouri town is only a few minutes away by car and a ferry across the bay to Argostoli is only 3 euros. Nicos' rates are way too low and breakfast is included. The ONLY thing I'd change is to convert that unused tennis court into a pickleball court Nicos :)

Well I don't normally review anything after 1 day but this calls for it!!! Arrived late yesterday night and welcomed by Nikos warmly and he checked us in and poured us a nice refreshing beer each for my partner and myself. After a pleasant nights sleep we went for breakfast which is continental and perfectly good we were treated like old friends, we stayed around the pool as wanted to just switch off and relax again Nikos made our day even more relaxing by just being in tune with our needs and wants. I will review more as I go along but this is a lovely relaxing throw back place that is off the beaten track but more than makes up in character and the service is outstanding as is the food and the cocktails !!!

Terra Mare is more than a hotel, it is a place where everyone is very well received and happiness reigns. Nikos makes all the difference. He is attentive, likes to please the guests, always smiling and in a good mood. I traveled alone and he always asked me if I was ok, if I needed something, where would I go, giving me tips and suggestions. Comfortable rooms, clean and the air conditioning working very well. The pool is a great place to relax and spend time lounging. Terra Mare's food is also very tasty and the cocktails are delicious. I met wonderful people on the days I stayed. I will return for sure and take my family with me.

We had a lovely relaxing stay the the Terra Mare Hotel. The rooms are big, spacious and comfortable. We loved the swimming pool which we had to ourselves most of the time. The service was excellent and the owner made us feel very welcome and gave our daughters treats and made them feel special as well. We would definitely recommend this place for families with small children. The hotel has a rustic, rural feel and the sunset from the pool area was nice.

Nikos, the owner, was extremely accommodating from start to finish. Our flight was delayed meaning we arrived at the hotel at 2:30am yet Nikos stayed up to ensure we arrived safe and sound. He helped us hire a car, gave us advice on where to go and what to do as well as restaurants/bars he liked. Very clean and neat. Room had everything we needed and even a balcony (surrounded by orange trees). Very big pool with decent view of the hills. 10 minute drive to the nearest town Lixouri which has shops, restaurants, bars, and a ferry service to Argostoli, another town with similar amenities. We will be back purely to see Nikos again! P.S. if you want one of the best meals of your life, please eat at "the corner" restaurant in Lixouri, we ate there multiple times and were consistently impressed.
