Beautiful location on the river side. Very comfortable beds and lovely service and breakfast. We stopped here for one night while driving to Austria. The hotel is located on the riverside and has convenient parking nearby. We received a very friendly and helpful welcome from the front desk. There is an Italian restaurant on the hotel site but this is not part of the hotel. We chose to have dinner in one of the restaurants that are in the historical city center which is a 2 minute walk. The room had everything we needed, was clean and the bed was fantastic. Slept like a dream. The breakfast buffet had more than enough choice and they made fantastic eggs to order. Definitely recommend!

Location is nice because it is on the Main river and just minutes to the old town. Parking available. Nice track to jog in the morning along the river. Room is nice and clean. Good service. Good restaurant. Any drawbacks? Yes, the church bell at 6am goes for a few minutes...., TV remote operation is not convenient.

Rooms are very clean and updated. The location is quiet and serene. During the day a ferry operates outside the hotel to cross the river Main. The food is excellent, but pricey, so make sure breakfast is included. It is a very short walk to the church and the Kloster. There is a wonderful little restaurant inside the Kloster that operates during the day. Lots of shopping along the Main Street.

This hotel is nicely located, has a parking and the first impression is good. Staff was also very friendly and efficient. We also got an upgrade to one of the suites with river view. Weather was great and we decided to dine outside on the terrace. Dinner was excellent. Steaks as ordered, rare and medium rare, French fries and veggies tasteful. Desert delicious. But amazingly our ordered coffee at the end took a very long time. Unfortunately during the night some Polish youngsters made enormous noise that kept us awake until four o clock in the morning. Beds were very good and bathroom clean and nice. Hot water instantaneously. Unfortunately there was no airconditioning and because of the nice weather room was warm. Breakfast was okay but nobody asked it we would like a fried egg or omelette. The only eggs available were boiled. But enough variety of fresh bread, various cheeses and meat made breakfast okay despite the lack of fried eggs. Coffee was prepared and available in a thermos can and tasted well. Second night rain avoided youngsters to hang around and as a result we slept well and this night without any disturbance. On the second day again preparing coffee took much too long, comparable with our dining experience. And again no fried eggs but only boiled eggs available. Unfortunately these were very soft, too soft for my appetite. Looking closely around some additional maintenance need to ne done in the dining room, most chandeliers had several broken lamps, unfortunately the nice covering of most of the seats had stains. Checking out was efficient and staff again very friendly and correct.

This was an experience not to be repeated. Product knowledge is limited, no one could tell me what cheese was used for Handkäse fit Music, they did not tell us that the pfifferlinge menu (half the menu that night) was not available, so we all had to re-choose. forgot one main course and @ 9 '0-clock we could only get tea, because they already switched off the coffee machine. We where there for an important business diner, needless t say that that did nit went that well

This is a lovely renovated chateau on the Main River in a great location in Seligenstadt, Germany. Very charming with wonderful staff and owners. Comfortable rooms, fabulous patio overlooking the River Main (enjoyed many cristal weizen biers along with apfelwein there with friends). Food is delicious. Celebrated a good friend's 70th birthday and brunch was delicious and service impeccable. A definite place to enjoy a nice dinner or family celebration or have a drink on the patio overlooking the river. Will definitely return when visiting Seligenstadt.

Main Chateau was recently beautifully renovated but still has the charm of a 500 year old inn. It is very well located in the city center. If you visit in summer, make sure your reservation includes a portable fan! There isn't any air conditioning! You will also get your exercise because there still are no elevators. But plan on savoring many meals at the onsite restaurant! It has THE BEST Weiner Schnitzel that I had in Germany!

The hotel was great. Recently renovated and modern rooms. Great location on the Main River and centrally located in downtown Seligenstadt. Staff was fantastic, friendly, accommodating, and courteous. Food was great with many choices. Our stay was truely a wonderfull experience. We have stayed at other hotels in Seligenstadt on previous trips and we will definately be chosing the Main Chateau for our next visit.
