This is an imposing building in extensive grounds. We decided to go for an executive room and were not disappointed. It was spacious, modern and well fitted out with all mod cons. There was a balcony overlooking the grounds which was an added bonus. However, the Pavilion building containing the executive rooms is separate from the main hotel and there is no way to get to the hotel without going outside - no problem in sunny July, but could be unpleasant in cold, windy & wet conditions. The Flame Restaurant is quite probably the worst restaurant I have ever has the misfortune to visit. The menu is extremely limited. If I want burgers I go to McDonalds, if I want a take away pizza I go to Dominoes - not a four star hotel!. My wife's "Sea Bass on a ragout of ratatouille in broth" turned out to be two small thin fillets floating on a spoonful of peas & diced carrots in coloured water! My seafood linguine was starter sized and, yes, it did contain seafood, but it was not easy to find. The restaurant supervisor did have the good grace to not charge for my wife's dinner! Needless to say, on our second night we didn't eat at the hotel. We went to M&S, got a selection of cold meats & salad and eat them in our room with a bottle of M&S's finest. Far better and much cheaper. Breakfast in the Flame Restaurant was fine. We did not have the opportunity to sample the Tawny Restaurant because there were functions both nights. Obviously in this hotel functions take priority over other guests, to the guests' detriment. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this hotel!

The rooms are of 4 star quality as they are elegant and spacious. The bathroom and shower were of top notch. The shower was the highlight of the whole room. The service from the front desk staff was professional and friendly. The hotel manager, was knowledgeable, friendly, and was eager to receive feedback of our stay whether positive or negative, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, the restaurant staff was friendly, very quick to answer and help in busy working environment. This is a great hotel with spacious rooms, an attentive front desk staff, and an excellent five star manager. I will definitely come again,

My wife and I recently enjoyed an short weekend break at Blunsdon House. We were luck enough to stay in the Pavilion building on the top floor. The rooms was well layed out, and had everything you could need. Our room also had a balcony overlooking the golf course and out towards the cotswolds, so the view was simply stunning. I have stayed at the hotel a number of years ago, so it was interesting to see that a lot of time (and I'm assuming money) has been spent renovating various parts of the hotel recently. The new look of both Carries Bar, and change in style of Tawny's restaurant really do make a big difference to the feel of the hotel. The staff were brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. Whilst I didn't get to use the leisure facilities (the bar was calling), my wife did make use of the 'Secrets' beauty salon, and was very happy with having the time to unwind.

Stayed for 2 nights with 3 children and had a really good stay. Staff were polite and extremely helpful, often going above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcome. Room was lovely with plenty of bed space, breakfasts were fab (plenty on offer for hungry children!...and again really helpful staff in the restaurant) and the swimming/sports facilities were a real bonus.

Review collected in partnership with this hotel
Whilst deciding on where to go for a friends 'relaxed' stag weekend. Myself and the groom to be chose Blunsdon House Hotel. Since my last visit I was delighted to see the hotel has had many upgrades and refurbishments, some even on places that it wasn't necessary. Check-in and check-out was flawless, the rooms were clean and everything was comfortable. Air-con in the rooms was perfect for the humid nights we're currently having. We stayed for 2 nights, both in separate rooms in 'The Pavilion', one of the hotels room complexes. Both rooms had working airconditioning, comfortable beds and clean everything. Balconies overlooking the Cotswolds was a pleasure to wake up to. Food was remarkable. Breakfast had a fully stocked buffet, with everything for everyone. We opted for the full English, and myself having an Egg Allergy notified the staff who had the head chef personally prepare me a breakfast just incase someone had used the utensils twice - absolutely incredible! Dinner we opted for the hotel's Flame restaurant, with a smart setting, glorious service and food portions incredibly generous, I couldn't complain even if I wanted to. Following dinner and a short 30 second waddle to the bar, we found ourselves some sofas in the newly refurbished bar area, with plenty of staff behind the bar which made sure to a swift service. The grounds were in impeccable condition; grass cut, outside seating clean and covered with cushions, and the bar staff were kind enough to bring drinks outside to us if they saw our glasses were empty. Locally we visited the nearby towns of Cirencester and Malmsbury, both historical beautiful limestone villages with plenty of shops and local markets to browse. Overall, an amazing stay, everything was wonderful and we couldn't have felt more welcomed if Blunsdon House Hotel tried. Thank you again to the owners and staff for making our weekend so fantastic. We will be back!
