We have rarely been made so welcome at any other chambre d'hotes we have stayed at anywhere. The welcome was warm and friendly. The room was beautifully furnished and comfortable. The breakfast was exceptionally good and the evening meal which we enjoyed was excellent and the company and conversation most stimulating. Mine hosts were most accommodating in ensuring that my...

This is a lovely little place, partway up the hill beneath the fortress. The hosts were really delightful, the place calm and clean and charming. For breakfast there was a homemade pastry and homemade jams to accompany the fresh bread, juice and tea or coffee. Our room was lovely and big, the bathroom had a little skylight with mirrors positioned...

From the start of our transaction with La Gourmantine, they immediately made us feel at ease. We booked La Gourmantine upon the recommendation of a friend. When I emailed them, inquiring about the room availability, they were very quick to reply and because we were in the Philippines at that time, they decided to waive the deposit fees in order...

What can I say? Anyplace that serves chocolate mousse, delicious chocolate mousse, for breakfast, has to be good, and it was!!! This is a small, charming B&B, in the lovely village of Polignac. Daniel and Monique were excellent hosts and our little room was clean, quiet and comfortable. They offer a very reasonable and delicious dinner that we enjoyed with...

They are active travelers themselves and fun to share stories with. The food was fresh, delicious, and homemade. The best dinners we had in France were at La Gourmantine -...
