The Hotel Mercure is located on the river Dordogne on the main access road. The hotel has 80 rooms. The rooms are modern, but are narrow in size. There is lacking space for a desk, for this reason a small bar table was placed. Most of the rooms have queen size beds with a width of 160 cm. Thanks to... More

We had to stay here after a local Chateau stay fell through at then last minute. We were told only 2 suites were available at 220 euros per night. Seeing as it was nearly midnight when the 4 of us arrived we brokered a deal at 150 euros plus a buy 2 get 2 breakfasts free. Lovely rooms but the... More

Our room was quiet, comfortable (great shower), and in a good location in Libourne for our restaurant, a 20 minute stroll away (though the street was pretty deserted on the way back. We should have taken a cab). We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

As with most other Mercure hotels, we found this to be of a very good standard with courteous & knowledgeable staff. Didn't hesitate to offer a special discounted deal even though it was obvious we would book a room. Breakfast was better than normal French hotel standard and room was spaceous enough again by French standards for the price. One... More

I found this hotel to be well located, and the staff were beautiful and friendly. The room was not expansive, however was clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast was fantastic, though if you're after dinner I might suggest a small walk to try Zinc restaurant for some taste bud treats. The menu at the hotel is limited. I'd recommend... More

Stayed here for one night as a cheaper alternative to St. Emilion and Bordeaux. Staff is friendly and room was clean and nicely furnished. Pillows were a little flimsy, but they had extras in the closet. Overall we were very pleased with our quick stay.

We stopped for one night on the way south and were very impressed - everything you need is there including very convenient secure off street parking. Rooms are comfortable, they were very accommodating to us with our baby son - cot and changing mat - very pleasant staff and the location is perfect right on the main road in and... More

Convenient for business in town, and also only 10 minutes from St Emilion, this is a great choice if you prefer not to be based in St Emilion itself with its 1+ million visitors a year. The Sunday market in Libourne is worth the price of a visit in itself and the family run restaurant 100 metres down the road,... More

The staff are a real asset to this hotel, friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area, giving us ideas of where to visit and taking the time to plan a route on the map that they supplied. The bedroom was smart, well decorated and clean, the shower was excellent. There is limited parking at the hotel that you have to... More

Old hotel but nicely decorated and rooms are clean and tidy. Modern bar area serving a good selection of drinks and food. Short walk into town where there are nice bars and restaurants. Good location to visit some Chateaux or if you are on business this is probably the best hotel in Libourne.
