Hotel Tony, Island Pag, town Pag, Croatia, is a fine family hotel on the beach with an excellent service and delicious food. We chose this hotel as I found a very good offer on Internet, with halfboard included – two kids free of charge. So we booked a 3-nights stay over the weekend. Actually we have visited Pag before during this summer, and we liked it very much, so we knew that Pag town is a good point if you want to explore and move on the island.
We got a triple room, pretty large, with large balcony and nice sea view. The cleanliness was OK. The meals were fine too, breakfast with cold cuts and fresh cooked eggs - you are asked if you want scrambled eggs or fried eggs, etc. Dinners were with plenty of food – appetizer, main dish and desert. During breakfast we were asked to choose between two different main dishes (usually one with fish and the other one with pork or chicken). For the kids we told them to bring only one portion for both of them, as they use to waste food and not eat it properly.
The hotel is very close to the sea shore and it has a small beach. The hotel also owns a small terrace close to the beach, but it was close now (beginning of September). It is probably open during high-season.
Some things to improve: the outdoor spaces - yard and garden of the hotel. A lot of household-related things thrown away over the garden and yard, the green spaces are not taken care of at all (huge weeds all over). This costs a star in my review, otherwise I would have granted 5-stars.
We visited a few beaches around (Metajna, Novalia, etc). there is not much to drive, less than one hour. We liked very much Beach Rucica (Metajna).
Do not miss the Pag cheese – very well-known local sheep cheese – absolutely delightful for a cheese- freak like me.

Although this hotel is a very hotel the place is just amazing be it room, service, food etc. the rooms are very spacious and big enough. The service staff are also very very kind here. The food is also amazing but little less variety for vegetarians.

Hotel is relatively small, however the staff is trying their best to keep the rooms clean (sheets were changed everyday and fresh towels and new rolls of toilet paper were provided).
You don't have a buffet lunch or dinner, only breakfast. Food is average, sometimes below average as my girlfriend got a burnt steak for dinner.
They have a private beach, which could use a cleanup of seaweed from time to time. Furthermore, the hotel's beach has about 15 boats anchored and it is not as pleasant to swim between them. However, the privacy was enjoyable.
To summarise, you get what you pay for. It is not a four star hotel and it will never be, but for people who enjoy the sea more than the accommodations it is perfect. However, I will not be going there next year as I wasn't satisfied with the food.

My wife and I went there in july 2012, and what a mistake we did. I booked it on booking.com and everything seemed good until we arrived to the hotel. The owner waited for us in front of the hotel to tell us that they dont have any rooms available... He also said that they didnt have time to contact us and tell us that we dont have reservation, because they had a lot of problems with guests. They have put us in an apartment nearby, and later on i found out that it was maybe better considering those dirty hotel rooms in Tony hotel. Of course in the apartment we had to buy everything, from soaps to towels, to clean it etc. And all of that was for a full hotel price. Last day of our stay they tried to cheat us in currency conversion ( euro to kuna), luckely i saw it and didnt let them, but i feel sorry for all the foreign tourists that they cheat on daily basis...
I must admit that the restaurant was good, and Pag is one beautiful island, with lots of nice locations and beaches.
Overall score is terrible.
My advice is DONT GO THERE!

The first impression way terrible, the room was very small and everything was covered by dust, and there was mess under carpets, dead insects, spiders, bleah...The second impression, about the beach, the dirty water drained really next to the beach, most people did not care of it, but I do, it seemed dirty.
The restaurant is good, the only good point I give to Tony hotel.
The hotel is around 1Km far from the center, I travelled by bike, but thinking to do it walking, 1km go and 1 back, after a sunny day, really tired for the sun and the salty water, make me avoid thinking to this place.
Pag island is beautififul anyway, just go to another hotel.
Final note. While we were paying, to come home, they asked us money for 8 night... we did not recognize it immediately, beacause surely they know that having a different currecy, it is easy to rub money to foreing customers. But think of it, staying for sat to sat is 7 days to pay, not 8, they do this count every week for every room how can it be they were wrong? Disgusting.
Go to Pag, but don't go to Tony to sleep, just if you want go there to eat, it's a good restaurant.

The hotel is very small, honestly, it should not be 2* hotel. It stinks so much that you are not able to sleep there. The bathrooms very poor, totally basic equipment. It was quite cold in April and on the beds we found just pleds and sheets. I have not stayed in worse hotel in my life...

The 6 of us arrived to Hotel Tony in the morning at 8 o'clock, totally wasted ;), except the driver. They had only 2 rooms, so we decided that guys will sleep in one room, the girls in another. It was really fun, and the staff!! Thats another story. Tony and his father are the owners and they do most of the work around the Hotel. If u like when you are treated as a friend, this is the place for you. In the afternoon, we asked, which restaurant would they recommend us, but the answer was clear. We should stay in the Hotel. After we decided what we want for dinner, he asked for the ingridients from a fisherman. We had like 2 kgs of fresh shrimp and same amount of calamary for a very reasonable price. Tony also arranged for us for the second day a half-day trip on a motorboat, including some sightseeing, fishing and a few hour stay on a small island with a great restaurant on it. We had a really great time, the only problem was that we stayed only for 3 days :(
Altogether the Hotel was great and I wrote so much about our experiences only because we could only thank to Tony and his family that we had such a great time in Pag.

We had dinner after swimming at veli bok, fantastic service and good atmosphere. The fish plate was top. They also have a nice beach 🏖 restaurant with ice-cold beer and fast food. Recommended place if you want relaxed dinner

We arrived at the hotel it looked great then they said they didnt habe our room even though booking.com said we had it in the end they found an apartment not far for the same price and they said we could take a beverage while they prepared the apartement and normally you'd think the beverage would be on the house but not for them so as you see its not that good of a hotel and another negative point is overnight there was no water running we went to the hotel we told and they said same here and they didint even give us any water bottles
Dont go there
