Lovely hotel, great view, excelent service. We like everything, staff is very friendly, food is delicious. The view from the room and terase is stuning.I recomend this hotel. I will book it again next year.
In overall we liked the hotel very much. The room was a surprise for me, I loved the view from the balcony and it was very comfortable. It was clean and quiet. The staff were helpful, though on the first evening it was pretty hard to find a parking place. The only thing what should be improved is the food. Maybe greater choice of the breakfast could be nice. Everything is very close to the hotel, especially the beach. We just had to cross the street :) just perfect. Thank you again!
Enjoyed small pool and lovely terraces for cocktails and sundowner - perfect west facing . room similarly west facing balcony. No pool towels though. Wine was served in lovely glass but V V mean serving. delightful young barman - really made our stay. Room was quite bland but bed was comfortable and we had a fridge so cant complain Given only two other people in the hotel why not give us the best rooms in the place and we ,might choose to go back - hotels miss a trick! . hotel was empty.. as was Pag town ,,strange feel about the place. If a hotel is open it should have a filled ice cream bar and serve cocktails.....bit disappointing. Breakfast was pretty good - usual Croatian affair of bread , ham and cheese but we were also offered eggs and an omelette ... with cheese and ham! It was superb though.. we were very well looked after for E70 incl breakfast .…
The island of Pag is certainly a place you go in search of tranquility. The Hotel Belvedere is very much fitting into that scheme. The Buildings have very recently been very lovely renovated. A small beach (enough for a few towels) is just across the road. The restaurant offers a nice selection of local dishes and wines.
We spent seven nights at Aparthotel Belveder in August. The hotel is in an ideal location; just a ten minute stroll into town and right next to the beach. The view from the large terrace and from the balcony of rooms on the front is spectacular. The breakfast is basic but tasty. The pool is slightly too cold for my liking but the seating around the pool is very comfortable making it a relaxing way to spend the day. The staff were very friendly and service was good.
For the first time since arriving in croatia we were treated very well. The staff were friendly, accommodating and very helpful. They weren't afraid to engage with us or have friendly chatter, whereas most places/ppl seem stoic or bitter. The atmosphere was fun and light. The view was amazing! Absolutely amazing with the greatest sunset. As far as rooms, they are comfortable but basic. I dont think they need to worry about detailing the room with views like the have. And The food was great!
The hotel is nice, however I am not sure whether that is caused by the fact that we received the best room. The best room is on the upper floor of the hotel. The room which is a bit of cheap quality suits its purpose. The bathroom is relatively small and again suits the purpose for a shower. The terrace of the room is huge almost bigger than the room and the view from the terrace is of course spectacular. We did not tried the pool of the hotel however it is quiet small. In front of the hotel a small beach is located with sand. When we arrived the beach was crowded but still some space was remaining. The water is of typical Croatian quality. After 5 meters into the sea (about 1meter water depth plants (sea grass is growing). After 4 meter of sea grass your not able to stand and it looks like there is again a sand bottom. Breakfast in the hotel was not perfect but satisfied. We also had diner in the hotel restaurant. Prices were normal and although some fish dishes were not available it was of good quality. If you do not have too much expectations and you take the top room with huge terrace, you will have a great stay. However personally I would not stay longer than 2 days in the hotel. Parking of the car can be infront of the hotel or at the back. Since we had a relative long car we parked in the front. Regretfully someone scratched our car (most likely with parking or driving by). The hotel was very supportive in phoning the police, explaining the situation etc.…
Arrival was a little hard, with narrow street and check in on third floor - there is an elevator tucked away at the side. Pag was just plain hot in July and the breeze didn't help much. Rooms were quite large and AC worked great. Pool area was very nice, but best enjoyed in the evening - it closes at midnight. Balcony facing the water was nice, but too hot to enjoy. The staff was great. I liked the breakfast, but it closes at 10AM, so night owls may miss out. I liked the location and it was very nice walking around the town. There is ample free parking behind the hotel, but streets are narrow.
The hotel has clearly had a new bedroom wing added in recent years. The rooms are bright, clean, well laid out, fresh and modern. Bathroom is again modern. Aircon works well. Hotel sits on a small bay, walking distance from the centre of Pag, about 500 metres away.
On arrival outside the Hotel Belveder, I didn't have a warm feeling that this would be a great hotel. The exterior from the street looked worn and the old neon sign was broken, more Bates Motel than anything else. Once we found our way up the winding hill to the parking lot behind and were checked in, we started to see signs that it perhaps wasn't so bad. Elevators from street level and within the accommodation block looked newly installed and modern, the (very small) pool area had modern outdoor furniture around it and the stairwells had what looked like new carpeting. The rooms themselves were great after the poor initial impression given from the street. The newly renovated feel continued with brand new bathrooms, fresh paint and carpets. The furniture wasn't fancy, ikea? but again was brand new as was the flat screen tv and almost-silent air conditioner. The view from the balcony is the clincher with this place though - it was breathtaking. The room rate difference for a balcony is small here, pay the extra, it's really worth it. A few negatives from our stay: - I've stayed in many hotels where the double bed has in fact been two singles pushed together, but they've always replaced the bedding to double sheets and duvets. At the Belveder we had two single duvets on our pushed together double bed. - The safe in our room like everything else was brand new but no matter which code we used to lock it, found it could always be unlocked with code 0000. Not really very secure. - The bathroom frequently had a damp and mouldy smell even though it looked spotlessly clean, suggesting plumbing problems somewhere in the building. - No pool towels. Bring your own. We ate once in the hotel restaurant and the food was very good, the staff were really pleasant and again - that view! Go for sunset and soak it in! A final tip: staying in Pag Town is beautiful but it's not convenient for Zrce beach. There is no transfer to Zrce as advertised on the Belveder website, and while attending Hideout Festival, the shuttle service to and from Pag is really poor. Even though it's not as nice as Pag Town, stay in Novalija if you'll be going to and from Zrce regularly. …
