We have been enjoying the friendly and quiet atmosphere at the Gasthof Riederhof for several years. Arrive and take a vacation... The rooms are spacious and very clean. If you like good home cooking, this is the place for you. The Wildauer family and the staff are very warm, friendly and attentive. Here you can experience Austria in its most beautiful tradition.

Riederhof is a great family Gasthof in the beginning of Gerloss, very hospitable family and good cuisine. Have been there for 2 years now and have already booked for September 2024. Highly recommended with beautiful rooms and good beds, sauna etc.

Pleasant, spotless, quiet rooms; good food; comfortable sauna; nice team; and 100m to a ski bus that runs every 15 minutes or a 10 minute walk to town. Riederhof isn't innovative, exciting or avant-guard, it just gives you a very pleasant base for your holiday.

We have stayed for one week in Gasthof Riederhof. The Wildauer family is very friendly and will help you, if necessary, with everything. The halfpension including breakfast and a threecourse menu is perfect. The Skibus stop is directly at the hotel and you will arrive in 10 minutes at the Isskogebahn. After a day a skiing it is very pleasant the relax in the whirlpool, sauna and steambath. In a nuthshell, a very good place to stay!

+1
Excellent hotel with very friendly staff. The family that runs this gasthof/hotel/pension is very friendly. They do their best to make you feel welcome. The food is good. Breakfast is a nice buffet. And you can choose how you would like your eggs. For dinner you can choose your main course out of 3 options (but you can always ask if something else is possible). The rooms are big. Bathroom a bit smal, but everything there what you need. It is clean, maybe a bit updated, but who cares? The skibus stops in front at the road and goes very often to the gondels. It is about 10 minutes walk to the supermarket (and village). The hotel is just on the outside of Gerlos, so nice and quiet. But if you want to go out the village is right there. The only downside is that there is no elevator. But if you want to go skiing, it is a great hotel.

The hotel is very comfortable, the rooms are clean with good beds. The shower in the room was quite dark, but we mainly used the showers in the wellness facilities anyway. The wellness is great, it has a steambath, sauna and whirlpool. As there were a lot of kids around, it was common to wear a bathing suit, except inside the sauna. We brought our own bathrobes, which came in very handy.
Our room (number 25) was at the top floor, which was quite a climb after a long day of skiing. The wellness and dinner area are way down below, so another walk down and climb up was heavy on the muscles. There is no elevator.
The staff was superfriendly and the food was very good. Each morning at breakfast you get the menu for the evening. It has a set starter, usually soup, followed by a choice of fresh salads from a buffet, then a choice of 4 different main courses and a fixed desert.
Payment at the hotel (for drinks) is cash only.

The hotel is easily reached. The hotel has enough parking places, including outdoor parking and a garage. The bus station is in front of the hotel. The room that we stayed is very clean, spacious with a great view.
The hotel is traditionally furnished. The food is varied and very good. The staff is very kind, promptly and careful. The services are excellent.
I recommend this hotel for everyone.

From the positive point of view if you are going to ski the bus stop is directly below the hotel. I use the term below as there is a slight up hill climb at the end of the day. the bus runs every 10 mins or more frequently and you are at the beginning of the route. We had seats 5 out of 6 days. your are only two short stops out of town (but town is really only the main street so you are not missing anything). the rate was 74 Euro per person per nigh half board. the Breakfast was the same each morning but did include a cooked egg. Dinner was a choice of 4 with the trout one the menu every day. they did not have a veg choice. the food was pretty good but just basic, you are not getting great presentation etc just good food. Every dinner also included, soup, a salad bar main course and desert.
The rooms are European size, read small. the bathroom shower was very small so watch your elbow and the towel collection was rather ecollective and could use an upgrading. the bed has also been around for a while but after a day of skiing is was easy to fall a sleep. Plenty of hot water. we have stayed in town at the Sportalm and it is a much nicer place but it is also 30 Euro more per night for each person.
Not the ritz but a place to stay.
