Beniya Mukayu is a luxury ryokan in Kaga Onsen (about 20 minutes from Kanazawa). Upon walking into the main building, the smell of relaxation fills the air. We were greeted warmly by English-speaking Anh who showed us to our room and its various amenities. Our room had a private onsen (I think all the rooms at Beniya Mukayu have a... More

Luxury! Clean, comfortable, well-equipped and designed rooms, exceptional service, impeccable food, fantastic private onsen (the public onsen is great too). We booked a Japanese tatami room and had an excellent and very-memorable Kaiseki meal, both of which I recommend. The entire hotel is beautifully designed and private, and the small store is thoughtfully stocked; if you see something here you... More

This place is perfect to fell a real Japanese experience with tatame bed and private hot spring inside the room. The food is wonderfull with a 10 menu course with a lot of fresh food and very good sake list. I really recommend this place for a magic experience.

This place is insane. Service, design, views, baths, food--all perfectly luxurious and understated. If I'd realized how great it is ahead of time, I would have booked more than one night. Massage was great. Even the little store had some nice products. I'm still dreaming about the balcony bath tub...

If you want to experience traditional Japanese life then this ryokan was perfect in almost every way. It has been recently constructed in traditional simple but elegant Japanese style with lovely art pieces. Some of the best food we have ever experienced anywhere.Great service including excellent directions and communications. We were given yukatas and slippers to wear on arrival and... More

We stayed at the beniya for two nights in the zen executive suite. Everything from the beginning to the end was perfect. All of the staff treated us very kindly, attentive and were also very charming. We felt more welcomed than ever before (honorable mention goes to Kosuke, Keito and Karin, thanks again for everything). Our suite consisted of a... More

Everything about Beniya was absolutely heavenly! From the personal welcome with a tea ceremony by the owner, to yoga in the morning with the owner's wife, to the delicious food, to the wonderful private onsens, everything about this Ryoken was just perfect. The attention to detail and personalised service was second to none. One evening we were quietly admiring some... More

This property is a place to relax . We have a huge room with our own onsen. Food is wonderful and was eaten with relish. This morning , after a sleepless night with heavy rain, howling wind and banging doors , we sat down to breakfast. As my husband and I were not feeling well, after an 8-day busy sightseeing... More

The staff were extremely attentive, anticipating every need. In particular Karin who was thoughtful and kind. This place is beautiful and displays impeccable architecture and taste throughout. Really feeds the senses and I loved how immaculate it all is. The outdoor onsen was a plus. Our treatment was fantastic too. Definitely stay here when visit in the area.
