Not going to lie when planning my trip to South Africa the one think I was looking forward to doing was going on a safari and getting to see the big 5 specifically the lions. We only stayed one night, I was actually worried we weren't going to see everything, but wow schotia safari exceeded expectations. We basically got to...

Ty did a great job showing us all of the animals and was extremely knowledgeable about everything you need to know. Highly recommend him as a guide! The food the reserve served was also incredible. Highly recommend traveling in Ty's rover. I'm considering going back this year!

This was our first time in South Africa and we wanted to find a quality Safari that also affordable enough for us to stay overnight and take in the full experience. After searching online for a while, we decided on Schotia since it was a little off the beaten path and had glowing reviews. By far one of the best...

We spent one night here and saw lots of animals and the accomodation was lovely. We stayed at the impala lodge. Although it has no electricity I think this is a much nicer option. The food was plenty but average. If you are looking for somewhere to see lots of animals in a short period of time then this is...

I visit Schotia as often as I can as it is one of my favourite places in Southern Africa. The reserve is big enough that you have a real feel of the wilds of Africa and yet small enough that you get to see a large part of it in your drive. The topography is superb. I love the trees...

We booked the tooth and claw safari with 4 game drives (3x Schotia, 1x addo) and a overnight stay in the tent: what a great adventure! We had a great ranger (Edward) and saw 4 out of the big 5. Even in the private game park it felt like the animals had a great life and we really liked that...

We did night sleepover option Including Addo National park. The sleepover option gave us this beautiful opportunity to enjoy their Bush Lodge. To begin with we were picked up on time from our hotel in PE to report to reception for check-in. Jenny did our smooth check-in and asked us to lock our bags as they will be directly put...

Came with family, including 5 and 8 year olds, to do tooth and claw safari (afternoon/evening tour in open jeep 2:30-8:30). We were all thrilled!!! The rangers are funny and knowledgeable, the animals abundant. We got up close and hilariously personal with zebra, giraffes, elephant, various antelope, even rhinos and hippos and lions!! The ranger was able to answer all...

We returned to enjoy the Tooth and Claw Safari (also done in 2013) and opted for an overnight stay in Warthog Lodge. Great experience, another excellent guide, enjoyed seeing black-maned lion again, the rhinos with their rejuvenated horns, and most especially the elephant characters! Dinner was once more delicious and hugely enjoyable but the hippo are still camera shy! Warthog...

What an experience. We stayed in warthog lodge. Brilliant. Just around the corner was a Pool with three hippo's and 2 nice crocs. Also an elephant came to have a mudbath during the night. We saw loads of animals. Even some who are rare to find according to our ranger. He was amazed too. When we found the Lions they...
