we stayed for 2 days not knowing what to expect. This resort is 2 hrs by boat from Cartagena and room and food included. It is like something out of a storybook. I would recommend spending money for a view of the water. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The staff is all from the Island but impeccably trained....

There is a great opportunity for relaxing on the beach and snorkeling. The buffet style food is incredible and fresh. We enjoyed having the chance to go to bed early and have a truly relaxing vacation on amazing grounds.

Far away from Cartagena (90+ minutes by speedboat) you find the lovely and tranquil Hotel Punta Faro. Unlike in the Cartagena area, snorkeling is fantastic and you really feel like in Caribbean heaven. However, the food is rather mediocre and the buffet choice (generally buffet) is rather limited. Book a room at the water. It is worth the extra money

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. The grounds were beautiful and the food was excellent. The staff gives you excellent service. 4 full days is enough or you will get bored. Two problems Internet is terrible so if you really need to communicate or try and do business you may be out of luck I really wanted...

It is a very nice place to rest. In particular if you have kids, you can be ensured that they can wander around and be safe. The food is very good and fresh (like homemade). The beach is clean, the water is cristal clear and you can see many fishes close by.

Isla Mucura, and especially hotel punta Faro is a very special place to visit. Its a 2 hour boat ride from Cartagena and it is worth the ride... the hotel, one of only two on the island and is beautifully situated directly next to a small beach. If you look for party and loud music this is not the place...

What's really good: Very quiet with electronic loudspeakers of any form banned! So no "boom boom musak" Just wonderfully peaceful. No smoking in public areas. Very friendly and attentive staff. No tipping - till end of stay, then tips into communal pot. Not fully inclusive - so cost of drinks are added to your bill therefor there are no hoards...

We only spent 3 days here, but it was well worth the 2 hour boat ride. It feels like you're on the edge of the world here; it's the most peaceful and beautiful place to spend a vacation and recharge. The staff is very friendly and make you feel right at home. The majority of our trip we relaxed on...

Punta Faro was beautiful. It is a two-hour comfortable boat ride from Cartagena to the island. Once there, we were greeted with a coconut drink and were led to orientation where they explained everything the resort had to offer, followed by a nice lunch. This hotel was great, we had an ocean front room with a porch that was absolutely...

We stayed 2 nights with my Gf (regretted not staying longer), one of the best beaches we have been so far, nice staff... Hotel is a bit pricey, but since is a 5 star hotel in a mostly private island it makes sense... Every night the dinner is served in a different garden of the hotel, which makes dinning an...
