We stay to this hotel for two weeks in middle of July.We enjoy every minute of our stay. From the reception, to the boys and girls in restaurant, the cleaning team, the Kinando this very special Massai man, the Frank the man behind everything and of course the Samson. The general manager with solutions for everything. The hotel is on the beach, very clean , with spacious rooms. A little tired but in good condition. We stayed under all inclusive package. The food was fresh cooked every day and was tasty. The only proposal is to change the menu week by week. As we stayed for two weeks, after the first week you have to taste the same. Of course we will have to thank all the team for the dinner of my wife's name day as well as the last complimentary dinner with the huge " Sardine". If you like to hear only the sound of silence, this is the place. Long walks on the white sandy beach, thousands of coconut, clear waters and the spirit of Africa everywhere. We truly loved this place and is highly recommended.

Dongwe Ocean View is a corner of paradise, situated on a peaceful white beach in the south of Zanzibar island I can't forget the amazing sea view from our spacious and very clean room. All the staff have been completely at the guests disposal, so professional and nice, superb food and amazing massages at the spa.Everything recommended 100%

We’ve been to Albatross ocean view for 3 nights. The food was good, few options for breakfast (specially savory food), the hotel was nice, the employees always with a smile on their face and ready to help. Unfortunately we had some problems: starting with the smell of the room once we got to the hotel, there were leaches on the wall, some stains in the towels, the bathroom window couldn’t be fully closed (so some flies would come from outside), there was few water from the shower, the water heater was broken (they were ready to fix it - but the water was only hot for the first day and in the others it was just warm - as we had hot days during our stay it was not a problem) and the prices were overwhelming (we’ve been to other restaurants in Paje and Pingwee and the prices were lower and with better quality). Therefore it’s good hotel but the prices (food, drinks and overnight) should be lower since there are many other options nearby with better location and same or lower rates.

I arrived with my boyfriend after 7 days safari in Kenya Massai Mara and Serengeti Tanzania where we were all tired thing of relaxing only. The place is exactly what we were looking for, Rooms was always clean we even ask not to clean every day buy the have to, Restaurant on the beach, Beach itself is very good and service is good, When you are at this place don't hesitate to request special swahili food, they will cook for you😋😋 The swimming pool is ok with promise of renovation on May when is low season. The most beautiful view/ amazing silence/ perfect rest
-Cainik told us at All Inclusive that there is a limit on hard alcohol and beer of 5 pcs per person day (not for mixed drinks), but after contacting the accommodation with the amazing Samson, it was explained to us and of course we were granted and no restrictions applied to us, I don't take it as a negative, it could have been communicated earlier, for a while I felt that someone wanted to deceive me
- We highly recommend this hotel to everyone, excellent and very tasty fresh food in the restaurant, amazing location right on the beach, pool right on the beach, amazing view, great staff. They changed our room to the best one free of charge, because it was our honeymoon, and they also made our last dinner right on the beach. Dongwe is exactly what I hoped for rom a beach in Zanzibar. The sand is white, fine and soft, and the water is a lovey light blue. When the sand meets the surf this mix looks like coconut milk swirling in the ocean. I watched the ocean from a swing just beyond the pool until I dozed off,
I visited Dongwe Ocean View at the urging of a friend back home. I already had a prepaid reservation elsewhere but I came for a spa treatment and to enjoy the beautiful beach. We were welcomed warmly by Samson and his team. I was delighted by the lushness of the landscaping, which perfectly framed beautiful Dongwe Beach. The spa quarters were simple but our technician was soooooo sweet! My travel companion and I both left feeling relaxed, satisfied and perfectly polished!

A perfect destination to come and explore quiet white sand beach, blue lagoon, friendly environment and kind people for a newly wed couple. The service is perfect and the food is great from different cuisines including the local dishes. We had a friendly warm welcome from Mr. Malissa and the managent. When you enter this property you seem to have arrived in heaven. On the beach, airy, quiet and personal - large room. Only minus that stops this place from getting 5 stars is the food. The food was quite bland, and despite a large menu, you might want to mix it up with going to The Rock or the small restaurant next door. Regardless, I would highly recommend this place.

I don't know much about the weather in April we were there in November and there was rain and sun so the weather was no problem. The beach is very beautiful there are low tide in the evening and morning in the middle of the day there are high tide. when there is low tide you can go out to what may be a reef.
There are more places to choose from in the Dongwe area.
