Upon arrival you are greeted with genuine warmth and friendship. The breakfast is more than expected and the choices are wide and varied. You come away from this breakfast with more than enough to sustain you through a full day of hiking, travel or other adventure. The B&B itself is extremely comfortable and homelike but what really makes this place stand out from the rest are the hosts. Kathy and Marv treat you like one of the family and it is real, not contrived. Their love of hospitality is more of a calling than it is a profession and this comes through in their interaction with their guests. Their willingness to offer advice on local must sees or do's is invaluable and much appreciated. The location is perfect for anyone wishing to explore the areas around Lion's Head and Tobermory with easy access to both. We would recommend this B&B to everyone who appreciates warmth, kindness, cleanliness, hospitality, value and, above all, satisfaction. Randy and Linda

My daughter and I rreently spent 4 nights at this B&B centrally located on the Bruce Peninsula. Kathy and Marv did everything to make us comfortable and well cared for during our stay. They gave us helpful suggestions about where to hike and cycle. They let us know what restaurants were available close by and when they were open and closed. They fed us wonderful breakfasts which included homemade yogurt and granola every day and a choice of hot entree. We had many great conversations and were welcomed to make use of the common room. If we are ever back this way we would be happy to stay here again.

My s/o and I stayed at The Purple Frog for the weekend and neither of us could have been more impressed! There was plenty of space in both the house and the yard, Kathy provided various baked goods and treats throughout the weekend, it was incredibly clean, and overall it was just very comfortable. Both Kathy and Marv are great people - incredibly kind and warm-hearted. They made us feel right at home and ensured we were comfortable. They were also highly knowledgable on the Lion's Head/Tobermory area, including the parks. They gave us great recommendations on things to do/places to see and these were great as well. If you are looking for a cute, homey, high-quality BnB in the Lion's Head area, perfect for relaxation, I definitely recommend The Purple Frog!

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to review us. Marv and I had a fun time being your hosts and hearing about all your adventures while travelling, some of them quite humorous. We are happy you enjoyed some of our suggestions as we find it does help to plan ahead of arriving so you have plenty of time to enjoy. Perhaps in the future you will visit the area again and return to our b&b. Merci, Kathy and Marv
