We had a large, clean, air-conditioned room with ensuite shower room. We were greeted on arrival and hosted beautifully - nothing was too much trouble and they even took us out for a second time to snorkel with manta rays so we didn't leave without seeing them! A lovely service.

I paid the owner for the accommodation in cash, for which he refused to give me a receipt.after several complaints, he sent me a fabricated confirmation that two people were accommodated, but I was there alone, that the arrival was March 24, 2023 and the departure was March 2, 2023 (today is March 20 and I've been home for almost a month). Communication works so that I write to him via WhatsApp, he reads the message and writes back to it after a week. Absolutely terrible way to communicate.

Pros: Very warm, quiet, nice place to stay. 15 minutes to beach. Delicious meals, free snorkeling masks. Big rooms with toilet, shower, tv and air conditioning. Fast wifi. Cons: Language may be a barrier, make sure that you both understand each other.

Amazing View Guest House is our "first home" on Thoddoo. I booked Deluxe Double Room. For 3 persons it is rather small but, in general, it is good enough and possible to live in comfortably. All needs for tourist’s life is available including food (I ordered "Half board") and equipment for snorkeling. Well-known Maldivian "acivities" can also be ordered in the Amazing View Guest House. The prices are common for the Maldives. The guest house is located on Shaheed Ali Hingun Road. The way to the beach takes 15 minutes (the road through fruit plantations). The beach is excellent, so is the home reef! Additional bonus of the guest house is an excellent management represented by perfect guys Moosa Farooq and Hussain Farish! They met us at the jetty, followed to the beach, solved all our problems, arranged an excellent barbeque evening with the Maldivian Boduberu Show on Christmas night on December 24. Thank you! Thoddoo is a large island compared to the previous we visited. It takes time to go to the beach, 15 minutes on foot, wherever you stay on the island as there are papaya farms near the beach. It is a pleasant walk as there is not much to do around. Faris welcomed us at the pier, showed us the beach and took care of us all the time together with his brother Faroque. The room is large enough for three, there is a beautiful garden to have meals at. The Manta ray trip with Faroque is a must as he is a reliable guide, knows the best places to see mantas. He took care of us and I managed to overcome my fear and to enjoy the moment. In addition, he took photos of us in the water. The next day, he showed us where to find turtles in the nearby reef and it's an amazing experience. Many thanks! …

Staying at Amazing View Guesthouse was one of the best decisions we made when we visited the Maldives. The place is run by Farey and his brother Faris and they are great at what they do. The rooms are nice and really clean (the crew will make sure everything is spotless every day). The food and drinks they serve are delicious and you will just love hanging out in a hammock in the yard. You have to walk for about 10 minutes to get to the beach and but is an enjoyable stroll through papaya plantations and palm trees. In the end I really want to praise Farey. He became our friend and we spent almost every day doing stuff together (fishing, snorkeling, visiting other islands, etc). He or Faris will take care of all your needs and you'll get to see what maldivians are really like.
