Great accommodation, really friendly hosts. Easy to find. Easy to keep warm with woodburner which heats up cottage ultra quickly. Well equipped and super clean.. Superb views. We will definitely return.

Braemar Station is a working sheep station just outside of the town of Tekapo , they have a few cottages, that are all set away from each other so they feel very private. Pine Cottage situated about 300 meters from Lake Pukaki, the views of the green/blue lake and the southern alpes are stunning. The renovated cottage is very welcoming... More

This is it. Rustic stay away from all the crowds. You can have the place all to your self. The hosts are great (what a life). We had a cottage by ourselves. Next morning there was an amazing rainbow over Mt Cook. Beautiful views. You can stroll by the lake. What more.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilltop Cottage. Dated but clean and tidy. The viewxs were to die for, the hosts very friendly and the cottage was warm and cosy. It had double glazing for warmth, a log fire with plenty of firewood. It had everything you need, but do take your own food as shops are a long... More

A perfect start to our Alps to Ocean bike ride. We stayed in the Pine Cottage which was well equipped and an added bonus of a fire which we used to get out washing dry. Julia was a great host providing us with a beautiful meal of Aoraki Salmon which we enjoyed while sitting outside with the spectacular Lake Pukaki... More

The Station Cottage at Braemar Station (Lake Pukaki) is perfect for anyone keen for peace and quiet. With spectacular views of the Lake and Mount Cook (from inside and outside) we found ourselves continually amazed at the vistas. Julia and Hamish are truly fantastic hosts. The new Cottage is beautifully furnished with every thing you possibly need catered for. The... More

We stayed in the Hilltop Cottage while the rest of our group were in Pine Cottage which has a larger kitchen which is where we ate. Both cottages are well fitted out with cooking equipment, BBQ, comfortable beds (ours was anyway) and lovely scenery. The shared bathrooms were sufficient and the washing machines were very handy, even if just for... More

Spent two night here with a group of 12 friends. We used the Shepherd's Quarters and one of the adjacent buildings. Remoteness and scenic grandeur is the charm of this property. Don't expect the conveniences of being in a town. Bring food, wine and reading materials. No wi-fi available. However, we did have access to cellular service. Be aware that... More

We stayed at the brand new Station Cottage for two nights, and it was simply breathtaking. The Station Cottage is in a remote location but it was a relaxing and pleasant stay. We were very lucky to get accommodation at Braemar Station because all of the other cottages were fully booked, but luckily the Station Cottage had just been brought... More

We stay in the Pine cottage for two nights. This is our first night in NZ. And we had a very good sleep in this beautiful place. Very quiet and nice late view from the house. It is 45 mins drive away from Lake Tekapo and 1 hour drive from Mt Cook village. And the stars we saw that night... More
