We were struggling to find somewhere to stay in lake tekapo and the only place with availability was here. Whilst we were grateful to find a bed for the night we felt it was overpriced. We stayed in a 'glamping tent' - a large tent, big enough to have beds inside. Bedding provided and a hot water bottle, but no...

We booked two nights here, in a tiny mobile cabin, away from main building. It was a cute and comfortable unit, but you had to walk outside to get to bathrooms and communal kitchen. They provided good linens and towels, and the washrooms were clean. The location is excellent - right on the waterfront of Lake Tekapo and a short...

Location is great. Rooms are really nice as well (double) but the wifi is absolute crap. It's very expensive with no data included and constantly disconnects. On top of that they seem to be blocking photo backups with google photos and icloud. The water cooker in our room was absolutely disgusting. Staff were friendly but not very helpful. Can't recommend...

We stayed in a private twin as part of the Kiwi Experience. This place is at the edge of the lake away from town along the lake and takes about 15 mins to walk there. There's no amenities right beside this place. It's a quiet spot with a mixture of campers and backpackers. It's communal kitchen is disappointingly small but...

I stayed in a glamping tent (a big fancy tent with 4 beds inside) and it was great! The bed was clean and very comfy. The rain was very noisy at night but don't worry it's not like camping- I was still very warm and dry thanks to the blankets!! The wifi costs around $2NZD and was still very slow...

The staff is really friendly and helpful. The facilities are excellent and modern, and the bed in the glamping tent was good. Location is great as well - right at the lake and between the village and the walking route to the observatory.

Very nice staff and well organized place right at the lake! Definitely recommendable! Moreover, it was very good value for money! The only kind of annoying thing was that they charge to use the wifi...

The location of this place is pretty good as Tekapo Springs & the start of Mount John track are nearby. Also, it has good view of the lake - walk out and you're at the lakeside. It's about a couple of minutes drive to the town center so it's all good. We booked beds in a 4-bed dorm room during...

“If you choose a dorm room facing the lake, you also face onto the communal BBQ area (I'm glad we didn't get this room). The rooms which don't face the lake are more private. Choose a dorm FAR from the squeaky slamming doors which lead from the bedrooms corridor to the living areas.”
