Beautiful views but very substandard and overpriced campsite. Unfortunately this is the only campsite in Lake Tekapo so they have no reason to stay competitive on price or experience. Second most expensive campsite we'd used in NZ for very basic and old amenities and unlevelled, crowded pitches. We felt very sorry for a couple of the big RV campers as...

We stayed in our camper van on one of the powered sights on the water. Amazing starry sky shooting stars. The lupins and other wild flowers were in bloom, so stunning. Shower facilities were clean and modern. Shower costs $2. Wasn't overcrowded. Kitchen area was spacious and clean. Good restaurant and cafe options down the road 10/15 walk.

My wife and I stayed at his holiday park on a powered camper van site. It was one of the most expensive sites we stayed at $46 a night instead of the average $40. The added expense did not matter the site itself is in an elevated position overlooking this jewel of a lake (see picture). When we were there...

$18 per person for a small, overcrowded and unpowered site. Everone is packed in like sardines, no view over the lake from most sites either. Pay $2 for a hot shower that doesn't work. Receptions response is "its like that if the showers are full" and won't give a refund. Couldn't care less... Better off staying in town at a...

Disappointed from get go. Reception so busy check in 20 minutes and due to being hectic, staff not engaging. Tv in cabin does not work. Kitchenette advertised is not in cabin but over the path. Tea towel in cabin had black dirt on it. When asked about tv someone was coming to assist. 4 hours later we returned to reception...

Firstly I loved the view of the lake (so blue) right out of the door, brilliant photography opportunities. The suite itself was very comfortable, the bed was brilliant, good hot shower (always a welcome), and walk-able distance to the town. Brilliant option at Tekapo Lake.

The views were out of the world, however, the campgrounds were so-so, not to mention the high prices which were charged whilst staying in a powered site, with internet being off the grid, this campground is good for short stays. Would not recommend staying here for more than two days. The shower facilities are not frequently maintained despite being charged...

A basic campground. That's it. Expensive showers and not to mention ch facilities. You have to pay for slow internet. No problem to stay here when you're traveling through but I wouldn't stay here to long.

We took the Kiwi Bach - a small cabin with a bedroom, kitchen, living room and outdoor loo. The cabin was charming and cozy. It was clean and most importantly it was by the lakeside. We made full use of the kitchen and the living room. For the price, it exceeded our expectation. The bonus point - the stargazing at...

We took one of the standard studio and it overlook the lake and mountain. The room is clean and comes with toilet and a kitchenette. Works for us. The place was entirely booked out. I love the view with the apartment. Heater is alittle underpar and the room is quite cold even we turn it up. The rest that used...
