Omg what can I say....the staff were amazing! Breakfast every day was to die for. The castle itself omg......private indoor pool, massive spa, sunken lounge with a toasty fire place, big 4 poster bed, perfect kitchen and coffee making facilities and did I mention your own private courtyard. The view from the top is amazing too. Really can't recommend this... More

Having left booking until the week before a long weekend I wasn't sure we would find somewhere to stay. I originally hoped to book one of the cottages at Lisson Grove if I could get in as we stayed there for our honeymoon and for our anniversaries (until the kids came along). The only availability at Lisson Grove was at... More

The castle is part of the Lisson Grove property which has a number of themed units. The castle is one of the themes and has 2 wings. We stayed in the Carmichael wing, in the middle of there is a day spa. Upon arrival we were placed in the wrong wing so it would help to clarify in advance where... More

Set on beautiful Tamborine Mountain, The Castle offered a cool and tranquil retreat from the heat of Brisbane. Upon arrival we enjoyed the Easter eggs placed in our room. This was a nice surprise that we really enjoyed! Our accommodation was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. The private pool inside the room was a lovely way to cool off from... More

Booked in for a two night stay to celebrate my BF 30th. At $600 a night I had high expectations and unfortunately was underwhelmed. The night before we stayed in the most amazing place for $300 a night so maybe that exceeded our expectations so much that it ruined this experience. I must say the staff were lovely, helpful and... The accommodation is pricey but it provided a unique experience for a birthday surprise. On arrival we found the staff friendly and helpful. The castle and surrounding gardens are spectacular. Within the castle walls the residence has a sunken lounge with the cinema projector for viewing TV channels or DVDs; full kitchen facilities; and an adjacent plunge pool looking out... More

A truly magical experience that I so desperately didn't want to end! An absolute delight from start to finish. Breakfast delivered by lovely staff in the morning, a spa bath big enough for two, plunge pool, cinema lounge...a fantastic way to relax, unwind and rejuvenate! In fact we spent most of our stay lounging in the soft bathrobes watching an... More

Hello again Nick, Another great weekend away at the Castle and a BIG Thank You. There is nothing else that compares to this place. We hardly slept as kept going from the indoor plunge pool, to the upstairs hot spa, then watched a movie on the cinema like setup, and all over again. Absolutely loved it. See you next time...

We stayed at Lisson Grove and in the left wing of the Castle in February. To say our experience was appalling would be understating it. We will never stay again despite being provided with a voucher by the owners to do so. At over $600 a night, I am horrified by our experience. The Castle leaked (as in running down... More

It is extremely upsetting to read such a report. So much so, that a response is definitely required. These guests stay unfortunately coincided with an extreme rain period that saw the mountain and indeed many parts of Brisbane totally cut off. There was flooding everywhere and yes, conditions were very uncomfortable for everyone. There were some guests who had to... More

It's not a cheep place to stay but when you factor in the facilities, inclusions and location its value is hard to beat. Do yourself a favour and read on... My new wife and I (second marriage ) wanted to be spoilt on our honeymoon, we have done the cruises, resorts and overseas adventures and we're looking for something different... More
