The room we had was on a small corridor with no view, dark with old furniture and small Be sure you obtain a room on the patio. The hospitality is to the strict minimum. The worst by far we encountered during our trip. Breakfast has only a terrible nescafé with the sound of the TV blasting in our ears.

We went throught quite a lot of acommodations in Calama, surprised by the high prices everywhere (even hostels double room for almost 50.000 ChP) but this hotel was the best value for the price we found. The receptionist didn't speak english (and we didn't speak spanish) but we arranged everything without much problems. Rooms were clean, water was hot, breakfast... More

If you come to Calama and you stay for a night do not bother with a hostel, we stayed at the Native Hostel before going to Atacama and the room with a matrimonial bed and private bathroom is 45000 Chile Pesos. In the Hotel El Mirador its only 48 000 (6 USD more) and its a totally new level. An... More

We staid twice in this hotel. Once on our way to San Pedro and one on our way back. The fist time we had room 19 which is a dark room with old furniture and not really clean. The second time we had the room 16 which was much better. It is just an hotel for one night were you... More

It's such a pity that in a nice little hotel with historic rooms we had personal belongings stolen from our room. Jewellery not worth alot (about £200), but with sentimental value was taken from the wardrobe whilst we were out. To add insult to the situation, both the staff in attendance and the owner (whom we spoke to by phone)... More

We spent two nights here and they weren't unpleasant. The room was nice and secure. Calama is an expensive place (as a result of the miners at the huge copper mine taking up lots of hotel spaces - do go visit the mine- its cool!) and the Mirador reflects this without getting carried away by providing value for money (we... Stayed here as we had an early flight the next morning an the Park hotel was full. Staff are very helpful and printed our boarding passes and booked out taxi for the following morning. At $75 a night it's overpriced but Calama is a stupidly overpriced town. Rooms are fine with a basic ensuite. There is good wifi and cable... More

Having made a reservation via phone for the same evening (happened in January), we had an unpleasant surprise when finally arriving in the hotel some 450 km and several hours later. No rooms left, and no trace of the reservation. Staff was not helpful ('you cannot stay here', 'this is your problem'). Location of the hotel is central. Reception area... More

Arriving late at night we decided to splurge as we were to tired to keep looking. The lobby of this place looked nice enough from the lobby, but we were disappointed when we got to our room. It wasn't any nicer than the place we had stayed the night before and paid 1/3 the price. The beds are very comfortable,... More
