We booked the hotel via an online Plattform. The reservation was confirmed.
We arrived around noon (should have had 24h reception) and waited for 2 hours in front of the door. Tried ringing the bell, knocking heavily, shouting, email and phone call.
Historic building with large room and bathroom, colonial decor , wooden floors , excellent breakfast location on inside (patio) view but generally a neglect / overlooked atmosphere dominates the hotel. This factor involve the cleanliness and staff services!!

My general impression of Calama after 1 1/2 days there is to avoid it. Nothing to do, nothing to see, nowhere nice to live. Mirador looked nice on the outset, and the staff was mostly friendly and used to help tourists with little Spanish skills....More
