The beach was beautiful, not too rocky. If you plan to walk down to the campground and enjoy the little oasis where the river and the ocean join and the snorkeling is great (for a novice snorkeler I loved it) I would not go without water shoes. that walk is about 20 minutes, bring a few pesos for a refreshment at the restaurant, or a few more for some divine shrimp.
