The a/c in our room worked well. And that's where the enchantment ended. The Wifi didn't work, or didn't exist most of the time. The tv was incredibly fuzzy. There is one desk chair and no other furniture in the room except for the bed. One person can eat at the desk if you wanted, but there's no table to play cards or work (the desk holds the coffee maker and microwave), no chairs on the tiny balcony and no chairs to sit in to just relax in your room. The towels are thin and old. The pool is outside the lobby - it's fine but the music played nearby was so loud we didn't want to be there. And it's a pool next to the building - nothing special or even inviting. The front desk staff were less than helpful about much of anything. If you need anything special; a shower chair, non-slip mat for the shower/tub or room cleaning - good luck.

My sister, niece and I spent 5 days at the plaza in a 2 bedroom condo. The gated community was beautiful. the plaza was not only walking distance to the ocean but several resturants. The unit itself was nice and clean but the housekeeping schedule was different, they only picked up trash daily from the kitchen not the bathrooms, we also had to ask for clean towels and extra toliet paper. It had a kitchen, sparless stocked with dishes, pots, pans and silverware, and no kitchen towels, potholders, etc. We managed well.with what they had being only meal we are in was breakfast. The staff in the office was awesome, answered all our questions and handled any issues we had quickly. They had a nice infinity pool with lots of lounging chairs and umbrella tables, there was a outside bar but not open during our stay. I would definitely recommend the Plaza for those that want to get away for quiet vacation.

At first glance the property looks great. I was also grateful that the front desk tried to check us in before 3pm, but that quickly turned into a fiasco! We were a party of 7 with two 2 bedroom condos. There was a room type mix up and I thought they would be the worst of it! Yikes I was wrong!!! They finally got the second room ready and all was well until maid service never came for 4 days! No clean towels/sheets.... nothing! We complained several times. Another huge inconvenience was a NYE party 5 feet from my room window. The hotel failed to tell me that at check in and if they had I would never have stayed in that room. Feeling disappointed at the very least. Before I left the property I spoke with the manager on the phone, Vivian, and and said to call back the next day and she would speak to the Spanish speaking manager to see what she could do to refund a portion of our money. Needless to say Vivian was unavailable for two days so I contacted Expedia. Do NOT stay at this property!!!!

Right off the guest gets the bad impression of a receptin desk featuring a registrar in a cubible at the end of a narrow hall in the basement level of the hotel, which is in itself a multi-building facility. The hotel requires a $250 deposit (room pre-praid), refunded 5-7 business days after checkout. I have traveled all over the US and Europe. I had never been asked for such a deposit (“It depends on the room,” the receptionist said, and Irealized my room was a basic king-size bed: which means larger rooms or suites must require even more of a deposit.) The buildings are an architectural nightmare whose actual entrance is difficult to find. The elevator is reached at the end of another narrow and not well-lit hall that stinks of chlorine bleach (swimming pool maintenance?). Entering the room requires going through two doors, one of which locks with a code. For $142+tax a night, I expected a hotel that was better designed and lit than the cave-like Howard Johnson’s in New York’s 34th St. The room was not carpeted: the floow was bare tile. The window and door to the balcony were covered by a window shade that reached all the way down to the floor and could not be rolled back up, rendering the room during the four days we were there a cavern where the sun never shone. The balcony had no furtniture in it. The wardrobe had lots of drawers in it, and the desk was nice. However, other than the desk chair, the bed and two end tables, there was no other place to sit. There was no hand soap in the bathroom. The toilet is so low it felt like barely more than a raised hole in the ground; the toilet seat was shaped like n outhouse’s. The bath tub surprised me, because in most modern bathrooms the shower floor is flat and is equipped with safety bars. There are no dining facilities, and the microwave oven is no replacement for a restaurant of some kind. Having breakfast required a walk down the street to a building that is, just like the hotel itself, not handicap friendly (that other building, which houses some restaurants and a minimarket, requires walking all the way around to find an entrance up on a hill to enter; otherwise, it features two stairwells reminiscent of the Roman Colosseum with less shallow steps. The only elevator in that place, called Plaza Nova, serves the second through fourth floors). In early dawn a gaggle of black, noisy birds gathered in a tree outside our window. It sounded like wailing souls in purgatory and prevented us from falling asleep again. I agrew up in Puerto Rico and am familiar with the sound of the “coquí” frog, but had never heard anything so disturbing as the crowing of those birds. We chose this hotel only because the former Wyndham Resort had been shut down since hurricane Maria. Ironically, it reopened under different ownership the day we left Puerto Rico. That hotel was well laid-out and featured outdoor sitting areas, a swimming pool, two restaurants and a comfortable lobby with two bars. We look forward to staying there next time around.

This hotel is beyond awful. I was the manager of a Travel agency for 25years and this was the worst hotel I have stayed at. Upon checking in we were told it would take two doors to get into our room the first door required a code and the second a key-fine. we go up to our room and the code does not work. Head back to the front desk, they cannot get in. They get the master and assure us it will be fixed when we return. The coded door never worked as it should- the door knob fell off the other door so we had our room open to all for 18hours. This required moving our valuables to our car as there is no safe at the hotel. The elevators were broken in the entire hotel- be prepared to drag suitcases they have no one there to help with luggage. The hotel says they have 24hour reception but you would go to the office and be greeted with a phone number on the door. Called the number no one picked up had to leave a message. The tub faucet fell off 3 times spewing water across the shower. The cleaning ladies never cleaned our room. The brown stained floor in front of the toilet and the chipped toilet seat all disgusting. What was good about the place the kitchen was clean and the room was very large. No umbrellas or shade at the pool. complained to no avail the manager was going to call -still waiting.Family had several rooms at the hotel all with a variety of similar issues.
