We enjoyed our stay despite our second week coinciding with the French school break and the place being overrun with kids. Our room overlooking the beach was comfortable but the balcony railing blocked an otherwise lovely view.
Meals are buffet style with the exception of one a la carte restaurant which must be booked well in advance.
We took the European plan - lunch and dinner are not inexpensive every meal at the buffet would be very boring - local restaurants offer good variety.
Last visit to a resort which is not adult only but great spot to bring our grandchildren.

Great lobby, beach, pool, view, staff, service, cleanness, response, and tours. The water is not included in the room price and tap water is impotable and do not miss their American breakfast. They also held some amusing local live music and dance at the bar close to the lobby.

The hotel is an average resort with a few restaurants and bars. I do not speak french however in my days around the island this has never been a problem until my arrival to La Creole hotel. The staff is borderline rude in their trait and just give up on not understanding and walk away. I decided to stay only one night here as it was very difficult to go on about my day around the resort. Welcome staff at the buffet restaurant was very rude and frustrated that they could not understand me (I was asking for a table for two, and to pay by card, nothing out of the ordinary). They made us wait for a long time until someone else approached and was of assistance. You really *really* have to chase around staff to get service as if you are sitting down it will take an exaggerated amount of time to even be provided with menus.

I would one hundred percent not come back here, it was quite unpleasant for the elevated price and considering I am vacationing in the Caribbean an just expect some relax time. Maybe if the language barrier was not present my opinion would change but I doubt it, the service was very unpolished, unprofessional and rude.

Desk agent Jean should not work in hospitality if he does not like Americans. This was a very bad first impression of the Hotel and the country and on our 30th wedding anniversary. We went to the front desk to ask for extra towels and he argued with us for 10 minutes about why we don't need extra towels since there are only 2 of us and that housekeeping would be mad and argue with him if he asked them. We have travelled a lot and never experienced such a thing, even at one star hotels, they will give you extra towels without arguing. Once we finally got him to call housekeeping, they did not argue with him and they brought the towels quickly. The breakfast staff was not too keen on being helpful to Americans either (we just saved our tip money to be used elsewhere and decided that we shoud not eat at any of the resturants on site at the hotel). Reading in advance of our trip, there were reports about the island in general not being welcoming to American tourists. However, I would not expect that at the hotel, of all places. We had a rental car and travelled to all parts of the island. Everybody else was nice to us even though we were Americans. They even seemed pleased that they got to practice English. It is ironic that the hospitality indistry was not nice to us, but every body else was. The off site Casino staff was even nice to us (which were were warned about not going to because they hate Americans at the Casino). We did not get any sleep there as the insect noises outside kept us up all night. The parking at the hotel was a complete disaster. You need parking passes for hotel guests only (and tow all others). Everybody parks there to go to the Casino and nearby resturants since the entrance is often unattended and the hotel does not issue parking passes to guests. The half door on the shower is a bad idea as water gets out everywhere. At first, they refused to honor the price that was quoted on their website when we made the reservation. The reservation said we were guarenteed that rate when we arrived and paid. They argued with us a bit rying to say that it was a different website (such as Expedia) and they are not responsible, but the front desk manager finally agreed with us when we showed him the document we printed ahead of time from thier website. The room was nice and we liked the patio in the back. The staff at the beach bar was welcoming and helpful.

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for your stay and for having taken the time to share your impressions. It is regrettable that, due to pre-readings you got, you suppose false and insulting behaviour of our team and Guadeloupean people in general, and this based on nationality. Also, Trip Advisor already removed your first review for inappropriate content. Anyway, we are sorry to read that your experience at the hotel did not meet your expectations. This is the first time we receive such comment about our colleague. We have talked to him. Be assured that this is not representative of our welcoming values. It could be also more productive for us if you could avoid the pseudo and publish your real name. This allows us to update your profile in case of next stay and better follow your past and future experience. Nevertheless, it is pleasant to know that you enjoyed your travel by discovering Guadeloupe. Kind regards, Vincent Waltregny Hotel Manager

Nice stay for a Solo Traveler. I am an American traveler who likes to be in contact with the locals.

Most staff are bi-lingual in French and English. Customer service is great. You can exchange USD for Euros at the front desk otherwise most places accept credit card which is highly convenient.
The kitchenette room is a great way to save money if you bring some snacks to prepare in your room then you can eat out for dinner. The hotel's Rum Tasting was a great value for free.
If you are American you will need to bring a Euro power adaptor for the outlets !

I was disappointed with the available excursions as there were nothing available for local creole culture such as foods or crafts which was stated on the website. So I made my own excursion by taking the bus to the Museum Acte and then walked over to the Spice Market for souveneers. This was a great location and you can get around the town easily on the public bus for just over $1 each way. It's about 20 minutes from the hotel.
The locals are friendly, keep in mind most locals don't speak English.

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you very much for your stay and sharing your feedback. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay. We have well noticed your remark concerning the excursions. It’s probably a misunderstanding from our side between available guide for excursion and available excursions. We do apologize for this. We are looking forward to welcome you again in a near future to La Créole Beach Hotel & Spa and we take this opportunity to wish you All the Best for 2023. Cordially, The Management

Greatly enjoyed our week. We splurged on one of the ocean facing junior suites and it was well worth the extra €30 daily. The beach is wonderful, especially great for kids as it is about 1 m deep from shore to the entrance to the bay.

With only three choices for meals: buffet, beach café, and high end 20 table restaurant, booked far in advance, we started eating at local restaurants within walking distance on day four and found the food delicious, especially the fresh seafood.

Note there is no cash machine at the resort, but the casino is only two blocks away. You need a passport to enter and use the cash machine. Free parking, but very crowded so be warned when you come back from a day out with your rental car. Hertz, conveniently next door. The live jazz three nights a week was terrific and we also got a carnival show on Valentine’s Day with spectacular costumes.

I was here for a week in March with my mother, so it's a bit late review, but hopefully still helpful. I loved our stay! Everything was great, our room was nice and clean, fresh towels and bed sheets regularly and also bathrobes. The bed was huge and very comfy, two people could sleep on it just fine without kicking themselves at night. Bathroom was good, it would be nice to have some hand soap holder next to the sink because it was always wet, but that's just a minor thing.

On the first day, we had some issue with water leaking from the ceiling, we told the staff and they checked it and needed to fix it, so they gave us new room (in same category) right away, everything was sorted out very quickly in like an hour, which was great and we really appreciated it. We had the room with sea view and it was really worth paying for, I loved the view and the location, it was just few steps to the beach.

Beach looks small but is big enough for everyone, water was so clear and warm. Hotel staff would clean the beach every day so the sand was also spotless. There are enough sunbeds and you can get beach towels for a deposit. There are all kinds of animals in the garden and by the beach - iguanas and lizards and lots of different birds. You can book some trips and excursions directly on the beach, nice lady booked a water taxi to the nearby island of Gosier for us.

The food was also great and there was quite a lot of variety, I really liked the local cuisine, lots of fruits and vegetables and desserts were amazing. Breakfast was good and I really liked the fresh juices and loved the yoghurt. There were also themed dinners like sea food and creole food. There were welcome cocktails and dancers on the beach in the evening, which was also very nice, then some rhum tasting etc.

The concierge was so kind and helpful. Special thanks to Manuela who was so kind and helped us book an amazing boat trip to see whales and dolphins! By the way, most of the staff speaks English and if they did not, they were very patient with our basic knowledge of French language. I would definitely come back, even though Guadeloupe is very far away from my home! Thank you everyone at La Creole Beach!

It's high season here in Guadeloupe, so prices go up (too high up for what it actually is!).
I work as an Assistant Coordinator for the series being filmed here and I also live here, so I know the standards and quality of hotels and villa rentals. It's my job to know all of this.
We decided with my colleagues to rent the suite to celebrate a birthday, just the 3 of us. Price: 594€ which means almost 200€/person. You'd expect a decent, even high customer service and all the amenities included...well nope! Breakfast wasn't included. And you know what the manager at reception said when we asked why?: Because we have a kitchen in our room (LOL). If I'm paying that price, for one night only, you don't expect me to cook, do you? We finally managed to get the breakfast, after fighting for it...so not cool!
The suite is so not worth it, quite old and stinky!
Won't be recommending this to my colleagues or guests arriving for the shoot. Many other hotels to choose from.

Merci x

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you very much for your stay and for having taken the time to share your impressions. We do apologize for any inconvenience which could happen during your stay. But it should be fair also to mention that the poor impression you get from your stay is probably the fact that you organized a birthday party in the Suite and that we had to interfere due to many complaints from other guests. Nevertheless it will be a pleasure to welcome you again for quiet moment and to enjoy another experience. Cordially, Vincent Waltregny General Manager

We enjoyed the resort and its wonderful, yet small beach. The jetty that protects the beach was our favorite spot where we could enjoy the sunset and see the cruise ships leaving Guadeloupe. In particular we enjoyed the Yureli Beach Bar for its fast service and tasty pizza.

We spent 15 wonderful nights and days in the perfectly managed hotel with great staff, excellent services perfect location with highest standard of French cuisine. If you like to know more about GUADALUPE make sure you rent car. Tip: we did it through Hertz because their pick-up location is just across the street less than one minute from the hotel. If you want to save money do it online because sometimes price is cheaper. Next to the Hertz office is small supermarket and souvenirs shop open seven days a week. We would also recommend to buy a boat trip through concierge of the hotel, it is well organized for small group of people and truly beautiful. Concierge is truly exceptional with deep knowledge of the Guadalupe, very useful tips and many advices which saved us lot of time and also money. Location of the Hotel is perfect Beach is beautiful, breakfast is simply extraordinary and hotel is perfectly managed. We do not speak French but we didn't meet with any problems or misunderstanding. All employees of the hotel are wonderful, smiley and very dedicated people.
