We were there in June, as a couple. We chose the gastronomic 9 course meal with a night in the Baker room, which is the most expensive and not sure is worth the price. The food was excellent, each small course was well made, and the flavours were there. Be aware that 9 course is a lot of food so... More

The interior of the inn is charming and serviceable. Our room was as advertised, comfortable and clean. I was a bit disappointed in the location. There was a nice porch area or guests to enjoy with a view of gardens and fields but it also included a highway. The shared kitchen area was a selling point for us but it... More

Nowhere on website or brochures doe it inform you of times and days off. Only by trying the front door do you find out they are closed on Mondays. That being said the meal we had on Tuesday was excellent. We were greeted by the owner and given a tour of the very historic restored farmhouse. Waiter was attentive and... More

Upon our arrival we were greeted by a most hospitable, professional waiter for Auberge Baker. Oliver checked us in and then showed us the dinning room and asked if we wished to pick out our table for dinner which was later on in the evening. Our room, Baker, was well appointed with a fireplace and lovely, original, antique furnishings. The... More

We greatly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the smallest of the rooms, Eve. It was just as we'd expected from the website and very comfortable. We hadn't realized there was a full kitchen between the rooms that we could have used if we'd been staying longer. We'll know for next time. Nevertheless, between the nice breakfasts and the excellent... More

We stumbled upon this place randomly on a rainy afternoon in September 2015. We were looking for a place for lunch and saw an ad on our map for this place. We decided to check it out however we were late for lunch as I believe they stopped lunch at 2 and started dinner at 5. We didn't get there... More

L’Auberge Baker is a few hundred-foot drive through pastureland from the fast and dreary Route 138 that follows the St. Lawrence River northeast from Quebec City. The inn looks idyllic and welcoming--a wide, low, three-gabled 18th Century farmhouse with stone walls 16 inches thick. The Baker’s pièce de résistance, however, is not the setting nor the rooms but the cuisine.... More

This hotel is a wonderful find on the road from Quebec city north up the Charlevoix coast (handy if you are heading out of the city for some whale watching). We arrived late and hungry and so were delighted to find a fantastic restaurant with a menu full of local products. The old-fashioned style of the inn is charming, and... More

This was such a lovely meal to have on our last night in the province of Quebec. We spent the whole day in the area and the finale of our evening was this lovely dinner and dance hosted by the Auberge. They were so welcoming and polite to our very large group of students. The team that worked at an... More
