I was looking for a B&B to complete my stay in the Bay Robert's area and I thought I would try the Spaniard's Room. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and very conversational. I was very impressed with the property as it was built in 1901, but has been maintained impeccably. The room I had was very large and... More

My wife and I visited here for one night, both Greg and Loraine were very friendly and inviting. The B&B is nested in a heritage home, which had a very clean, cool decor. Stayed on the third floor, the 'Fly Deck' - opposite of the 'Crows Nest'. Room was very clean, comfy, and well decorated. I'm not sure if they... More

We were fortunate to come across this charming B + B when searching for accommodations for our trip to the Avalon Peninsula. Direct phone contact with the hosts provided info on availability and best rate. We were warmly received and enjoyed this handsomely appointed heritage house and all its historically correct furnishings. Breakfast in the dining room was generous and... More

Welcomed by the owners and settled into a large bedroom with adjoining large bathroom. Very clean and casually decorated. We were able to have a home cooked meal right on site without travelling out after a long day. Host were very informative about the island.

When we arrived, no one answered the door but there was a sign saying to come in and call the hosts. I know that Newfoundland is quite safe, but it was strange that the door was unlocked and no one was home. We called the hosts and said that we had a reservation - which we had. They sounded confused,... More

We had a great stay at The Spaniard's Room Heritage Home in Newfoundland. this 100-year-old home is well restored, beautifully maintained and immaculately clean. The hosts, Greg and Lorraine are very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Thanks for the great meals and we really like the moose burgers. We will be back again.

I enjoyed my stay at The Spaniard's Room so much last year I made it a point to return again this year. Not only is the home absolutely magnificent, but the rooms are spacious, comfy and very clean - the true highlight, however, is really the hosts. In a place known for incredibly friendly people, Greg and Lorraine are some... More

We stayed in the Captains Room. We were very disappointed in the quality of the room. The furnishings were old, not antique. The sheets were thread bare and pilled, and the mattress crinkled from the plastic. Our hosts however were lovely people and breakfast was very good. I would suggest some upgrades to the bedding and overall appearance of the... More
