Inn by the Bay was recently renovated by owner Elizabeth Dillon. We were very fortunate to meet Elizabeth, have some great chats and learn about the area. Our room was lovely, bright, clean and comfortable. Tammy and Colette looked after us exceptionally well and made sure we had everything we needed. Continental breakfasts, including delicious homemade muffins, pastries and cookies, were located in the sunroom, overlooking Dildo Cove and Dildo Arm. In the same room was a sitting area for guests to relax and enjoy the view. Dildo was the perfect place to make a base for exploring part of the Avalon Peninsula and we're so glad we chose Inn by the Bay as our home away from home. Thank you Elizabeth, Tammy and Colette for making it so special!

A lovely spot across from the harbour. We had the smith room, which was lovely and a nice size. The Inn is very clean and quite charming. The breakfast is a continental which includes muffins, yogurts, cereals, bagels, toast, ( and GF bread for toast) coffee and tea. The manager was very friendly and made sure everyone was well looked after.

Loved our stay. Clean and cozy with an amazing view and a warm welcome from staff. Continental breakfast with loads of choices and conveniently located within walking distance of the Dildo Brewing Co where we enjoyed several meals, great beer and wonderful staff. You won’t be disappointed.

We held a small staff training retreat. This venue was perfect!! The host was so accommodating and welcoming. The rooms are cozy yet with plenty of space. The most comfortable bedding!! Great breakfast and coffee. The view unparalleled. Ocean front and the only complaint is we were distracted by whales! Two in the bay. It was unbelievable. She provided us use of the common area and we turned the dining room into a meeting room. I highly recommend this venue for retreat/training for groups up to 8 people. Brewery across the road and Barn Cafe a short drive away. What a spot!!

Wonderful place to stay! We stayed in the Reid room. It was small but perfectly comfortable. The open window provided a lovely breeze while sleeping and it was nice waking to the sound of seagulls. Breakfast was a good variety of muffins, pastries, begals, cereal, and fruit. We enjoyed it with coffee in the dining room with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Clean and quiet with friendly staff... I definitely recommend!

We arrived a little later than expected and Tammy met us (and a few other couples checking in at the same time) to check us in. She showed us into the dining room where we'd have breakfast the next day which was huge, beautifully decorated and set and had gorgeous views!! Tammy made sure we had everything we needed and was really friendly. Breakfast in the morning was continental which can sometimes mean not much but there was plenty of food and variety!

Lovely B&B, nice towels and bedding, funny notice on the toilet. Unfortunately contrary to the pictures on the site, breakfast was very disappointing with prepackaged wrapped muffins, containers of cereal, big container of margerine, packaged jams. No home made bread, preserves, and NO staff to direct you. No binder/book to give you the lay of the land, what's to do in Dildo and surrounding areas. A hand written note on the hall table, "if you need something phone ....."

What a fabulous experience, start to finish. Stayed a week and it felt like home immediately. Quaint, comfortable room, stunning ocean view from the lovely breakfast room but perhaps best of all…the remarkably warm and daily welcome from the host, Tammy, who greeted us every morning with a smile and lots of great information. Just the way an inn should be run! (She can stick-handle the most challenging of ‘tired’, let’s just say, guests, with brilliant Newfie finesse! Quite amazing).
Highly recommend this beautiful spot …an exquisite ocean view right in front of you…to anyone.

Outstanding hostess! No surprises - this place was just as described. It is well located - a view of the bay and across the street from the Brewery and Restaurant. Beautifully decorated and quite clean. Continental breakfast was just fine and no one rushed us through it. We plan to come again.

We had a last minute cancellation in Dildo and we booked this place on very short notice. The Inn is just fantastic- oceanfront views, cozy rooms, comfortable bed, great breakfast. This place has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and then some. Elizabeth, we are so grateful for your hospitality and kindness, especially on such short notice.
