I have had a long stay at Thainstone House Hotel. It was not my first visit here either. Have stayed a few times before. Staff as always very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very nice and cosy. Housekeeping staff are very efficient and did a great job of cleaning my room. I did have an incident with the plug in... More

Good sized rooms, attractive public areas and a nice warm pool. Well equipped gym to work off nice food. Breakfast is a treat with lovely pastries and a good range of all the early morning treats you could want. Very helpful smiling staff make it special even for a work visit

Traditional well kept Scottish hotel with spa. Welcoming and friendly staff with good service. Stayed in an "executive" room which was spacious, comfy and in good order. My only issue with the room is that my water wasn't replenished on my second day, this is supposed to be part of the executive package. I called room service and they quickly... More

Met three friends for light lunch today. Food was good, service also good. Nice selection of sandwiches, soup, salads etc. lovely grounds, with tables/chairs on the lawn. Beautiful period building. Friends stayed overnight on a special spa/lunch deal. Felt the rooms were a little tired.

Impressive from the very moment you are faced with the staircase at the entrance, the drak imposing colours throughout, the hunting trophies, the old pictures... The bar (with its fireplace) its also quite good, the food at the restaurant is brilliant (chateaubriand was a olympic proportions and) with the Tasting Menu totally recommended. Service was slow on the night however,... More

My son, aunt and I had lunch on Thursday in the bar and it was lovely. There was a lovely clam and traditional feel tithe place, on a mid week lunch outing. The waiter, Andy, was exceptionally helpful. He helped me with my buggy with my 8.5 month old son, and was very understanding and attentive to my needs for... More

We stayed here as we were attending a wedding at the hotel. We were able to check in early which was good and our room was lovely and clean. It was a little small but perfectly good for a 1 night stay. Wedding food and service was great as well.

Delightful country house hotel oozing charm, very relaxed setting and really lovely staff. Lack of signage at the immediate entrance of the main door to the hotel made finding the small reception area a bit of a muddle. The bedroom that we were allocated was stifling hot, and that was with the addition of a free-standing fan. Very small windows... More

Perfect getaway for my girlfriends birthday with excellent service, atmosphere and comfort throughout. The staff couldn't do more for you and the facilities are excellent. Although the hotel is a country hotel a car is not required as we were able to access through a train and bus which made it all the more convenient whilst keeping the feeling of... More
